Are we 100% sure this is a final copy? What usually falls off the truck can sometimes have QC issues or extra/missing pieces.

None of the copies PvP has reviewed in the past have been missing paint-aps, so it's unlikely.

 

yeah but it never really changed shape to the point it felt distinctive from the robot mode imo. the upper body unfolded into the cabin and rear like you said but it also just plopped the robot head in the middle of that, and the legs in alt mode always felt more like "these are dynamic legs that happen to form a dynamic car" but they never felt transformed enough to really be a convincing car front. there's also that annoying gap between the cockpit and the side of the car on the old mold.

it's a nice car, but it always felt just a little underbaked. i also didn't remember until now that the OG toy didn't have headlights either, which doesn't help the look.

Yeah that’s definitely not a Hot Rod retool, looks really solid. I’ll echo that Dark Nitro Convoy as a Gen Selects would be great but I’d bet this is a similar ‘capsule’ thing to Netflix Soundwave and Bumblebee where the mold can’t be reused elsewhere.

 

Hmmmm...I wonder if her guns will be able to flip forward in vehicle mode like with the original toy.

And if it *is* a retool, at this point it's clearly so extensive that we can't tell who it's based on originally. So does it really matter?

It's another example of how leakers may either be sharing VERY old information, or are starting to apply a bit too much speculation on top of the information they've got available.

Like, the original suggestion Cosmos is based on the Kingdom Warpath mold should be thrown out the window until we see anything.

 

That extra $10 gets you pinned wheels.
