I sure hope the discoloration in the joint on the top of the jet mode/ robot back isn\'t yellowing in this figure that isn\'t even released.
that would be funny too, because they guys standard cyclonus appears to be doing fine.

 

Yeah it’s pretty weird, they started doing tampographs way back in Titans returns, and then just stopped. And now we’re back to shitty stickers for the same details.

only real positive is that they aren’t pre-applied.

Definitely prefer the darker purple.

 

It's weird how much this throws me back to old pictures of Henkei and Universe Cyclonus together. I never actually saw Kingdam Cyclonus in person but it feels like the color in the photos here is a bit lighter than normal?
Also probably in the minority but I kind of don't mind stickers especially for a toy based deco as long as they're not crap quality like the TR/POTP era ones. I like having the option to put on only as much as I want and also one of my all time favorite decoes was TFCC Ramjet and the stickers on that definitely made it a whole lot better. Silver or white painted tampos just don't have that same shiny crisp silver to the.

 

Love these colors. I’ll hold onto the sticker sheet until we see what Toyhax cones up with. Can’t wait for this one

 

Sorry if this has been said already, but it looks like they fixed the width of those shin stickers.  At least, I hope that\'s the case.  Really gonna be a bummer if his stickers end up being unusable with his landing gear.

 

Mark said on his instagram that the stickers would be sized appropriately on the final production run, and the badly-sized stickers were just something he had to run with on the promo photography.

 

Yes, I believe the Hasbro Designer Mark said on Instagram that the ones for the photoshoot were rushed and not sized correctly, but in person they’d all be fine.

I can understand people not liking stickers, but in this case I feel it was kinda a necessity? I love the darker purples of Cyclonus here and think he looks perfect as is, but I also feel he looks far too gaudy with all the toy stickers on & I doubt I’d have bought Cyclonus if they’d all been tampos applied.

This way you get to choose how he looks, I was the same with Galvatron in that I only picked up the Selects version and wanted him without the stickers but others have applied them all to him and are equally happy.

 

Agreed. I really hope we get one maybe with hip skirts but at the least an IDW head.

 

It is nice to have the option! I almost wish Wreckers Springer came with a sticker sheet too - so much of his G1 toy look benefits from the stickers!

 

Exactly this! I’ve noticed a lot of the ‘86 guys have good paint jobs but some really gaudy stickers in places, I like that I have the option to add them but nostalgia for me can only go so far  

I think truthfully this guy (like Galvatron) will get one or two stickers added just for a splash of colour, but nothing too busy. However some people have them all on and are equally thrilled!

I know there’s no perfect answer, but I feel in these cases stickers give the best possible options for the widest range of people. As you say, it’s nice to have the option!

 

This looks good and I think even better without the stickers, it's a tight recolor. It is cool they fixed the sticker fit too though. I would have absolutely double-dipped if only they had made this one available from an e-tailer that offered free shipping, or if it had been fan channel+Amazon.

 

Dammit, I want this but I don't want to get saddled with another self-destructing figure.  

 

Darker Cyclonus looks great. He\'ll display nicely next to Lilac Cyclonus and the almost inevitable Red Cyclonus I assume they\'ll announce for SG

 

I\'m always amazed when a figure that comes with stickers looks great with and without them, only probably now is do I add the stickers or not cause I love both looks.

I'll be using this one as IDW Cyclonus since the darker purple and grey wings remind me of him more (plus he comes without any Decepticon logos so I don't ned to remove them).

Oh, huh, in the initial photos of the figure it was a sticker. Oh well, should still be easy to remove.

 

Actually, the initial photos had a sticker OVER the tampo con insignia. It was even undersized, so you could see the tampo underneath. Just look at the stock photo
