If it scales well with Legends, I'd get it in G1 colors.

If not, I'd hold out for G2 colors, since I had the G2 set when I was a kind.

Still, I'd like to see some posability before making a decision.

Also, if LuckyCat's Box Chargers are the same size as 52Toys', then I imagine some 52Toys fans looking for spare Box Chargers would purchase some, so it's quite wise of them to sell some separately.

 

For around $300, I guess it's all right? $50 per figure seems a bit steep, and another way that simplifying it with one less mode might have been better for overall cost.

 

Need beter pictures of the different bots and their combined form in color. Also height really matters. Don't need Devy for my legend collection but as a one of it could be cool.
While I own a few 52Toys ones the whole box gimmick doesn't really do it for me.

 

RMB 299 + 299 + 299 from Little Bee Prince in Taobao, around USD45 per set (before shipping). He also puts the height as 22 (to the head) to 24cm, with ETA of October, December and February 2023.

 

I appreciate that data point. I would imagine the Taobao price for BeastBox is correspondingly lower as well? Comparing apples to apples retail pricing with other similar products like 52Toys BeastBox, these seem to be expensive.

 

I don't understand the cube aspect. I get that it's inspired by Beast Box but I don't want or need my TF's to turn into boxes and I'm skeptical that all four (!?) modes will be pulled off successfully.

That's a surprisingly reasonable price considering the parts count, complexity, and gimmick. Wow. That's a grand total of $132.18... I remember a time when that wouldn't even get you close to a figure in 3rd party. Let alone something this complex.

 

@VelsR Thanks for the comparison! Yes, slightly more than just one-third of the retail price is a great deal for such products.

It really can't look as good in bot mode or alt mode and also turn into a cube, as a product that isn't hamstrung by the requirement to also turn into a cube. There is visual compromise to many pieces to ensure they fit into a cube shape, that's precisely why the alt modes and botmodes look how they do. They also want to ensure the combined form, which is impressive, looks as good as possible, so that likely gets the priority in design.

 

Curious to see if they pull it off, but not so much I would drop a preorder anywhere.  I was recently tempted by Master Made\'s yellow constructicons, but I could be tempted if this group turns out good.

Y wouldn't they make the boxes compatible with 52toys?? Especially since Dr wu did it with their trypticon.

 

HNNNNGGGG... getting something that feels like those Cybertronian designs is exactly why this is so cool. I'm in.

These should scale with IF figures pretty darn well. And look about right to fit in with them too
