I'm not THERE but I can attest that they really make handling other 3PU TF stuff different. It's a feel and heft that I can't even describe to people but everyone gets it once they get one in hand.
MMC, Planet X, Maketoys, Iron Factory and Newage. MMC definitely takes the top spot though. Fanshobby gets an honorable mention, they've been kinda slipping as of late, but they've still made some nice stuff.
Daca Toys and Omnigonix. Both companies only made 1 figure and now are extremely rare and go for alot in the secondary market.!! I've heard of ppl trading their Kronos and Spinout for a used Pontiac Aztec or even a Geo Metro!!! (Do I really I have to post this in blue??)
4 real! The drama with those 2 companies was unbeatable. What's going on in the Vectron Labs thread atm moment is giving me the same vibe...
I think Omnigonix Sunstreaker could be the best. He has the best headsculpt and clean backpack. The only thing that should be done is fake, smaller chest and also nice, blue transparent windows. Also his color should be a bit more orange but not a big deal. Bobby Skullface pointed at many flaws. He called him chuggish. But I disagree with him. If Omnigonix still exist they should give us new version with better chest. I think I prefer him over Badcube SS and now call me crazy but I even prefer him over TT Sunstreaker. Also OG did new versions of headsculpts which look awesome.
For me it is probably a toss up between FansToys and MMC. I wish MMC would use more paint and they had a couple of duds over the years. On the other hand their transformation are well thought out and the toys are fun to handle. FansToys is the opposite of that well painted and what they set out to do they do well. Their toys tend to lack in articulation, playability and transformation. I don’t like to mess with them because I fear paint rub but they look awesome in a display case. Bottom of the barrel for me of the established companies are Fans Hobby and PlanetX. PX has build issues out the wazoo and FH questionable aesthetics. I either skip them all together or only buy selected toys of designs I like. I seldomly enjoy them though.
Magic Square. They aren't perfect and I'd love to see some better paint and face sculpts but overall I love their work. It was MMC but they've abandoned the IDW/Reformatted line that I was focussed on. I don't collect their Ocular Max line and, as cool as stuff like Eribus is, it doesn't fit my collection. So I don't see myself buying anything new from them outside of possible reissues of figs I missed.
