Wouldn't know what batch they're on because I stopped paying much attention after I saw people's figures breaking. Did they work out what was causing the hip skirt breakages yet?

 

well my 2nd Emperor didn't have a broken crotch from just sitting in his box, so I have at least some form of improvement to show there.

 

I've had the reissue for about 2 months now, and after over 100 transformations back and forth, nothing has broken yet. The only issue my figure had was a loose shoulder ratchet that I fixed.

edit: after looking at this image, it appears there's actually a crack on the crotch piece. After messing with the figure a bit, it doesn't seem like it's going to break luckily. But I'm going to have to start being a bit more careful.

I personally think it's really fun, and way more enjoyable than figures like te-01.

Screenshot the crack and submit for a replacement skirt immediately. That's where all the breaks have been on that first batch. It could be half a year from the time you submit the request to when you actually get the part, so my advice is to get it now while you can for your own piece of mind and hope you never need to use it.

I don’t know if it’s the actual cause or not, but the hip skirt joints on mine were REALLY tight. I oiled them and they loosened nicely. And after reading about breakages, I haven’t touched him much since. I just checked him and so far so good…

 

I would strongly urge getting this oil and using it on the hip skirt even if the hip skirt isn't super tight.

The design is also partly at fault because the plastic is so ultra thin right on a hinge.

 

Just got mine yesterday <3

They got the front metal plate upside down right out of the box xD So I need a new sticker. Also had to turn it upside down and there was a little plastic part that prevented it to be turned around like that. I dunno what happened in production, but kek.

Also - my gun only lights up and has no sound in any of the 4 settings.

 

This might be a known issue with the KOs. Seems like the wires are not soldered on well or at all.

My KO shockwave had the arm wires soldered in reverse.

You could do some cleanup surgery, but...you're not really missing much other than the Pew Pew sound. The voices are hard to make out and a bit tinny.

I'm seeing clearance prices for Daban 9908 version in China. Any reviews of this in English? Even on bilibili I only found ONE Chinese video on it.

I picked one up from showz at 84.99 today before points. Crazy good price for what you get with this figure. He will go perfect with the mp44 slim back pack ko while my officials rest in their boxes probably paint chipping from thin air

 

Any pictures, what is the quality like?. Is it similar to it-01

 

so Daban was apparently so bad that Showz cancelled it.

 

Anyone have a quick rundown on the differences between the KO Megatron options? From what I can tell, there appears to be a Dynastron, generic KO, Infinite Transformation, and some fourth one that has apparently been canceled.

Without going through hundreds of pages, and feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken, from what I can tell the Infinite Transformation has had issues with yellowing plastic (but maybe not on newer batches?) And the generic KO has had issues with hip skirts cracking. Is there one that's generally considered "the best?"
