And I tried putting the car carrier on MP-44 Magnus and it WOULD work if his feet didn't stick out so much.

 

Are they reissuing the matte version or what?

I just got the original version of MS-01 again. I had it when it first came out and then like a fool sold it. Have regretted it since. Found a good deal on one and picked it up.
Boy did I forget how amazing this bot is! Looks so damn good. I got the recent metallic version too, but the original is better, imo

 

Are you using 2 different cameras for your picture and video? The video looks blurry and not in focus, but your photos a crisp and beautiful.

 

Question since you have both! The metallic version; is it the same shade of blue as the regular? I know the finish is obviously different but pics of the metallic make the blue look like a much lighter shade.

 

I would say the metallic is actually a bit darker blue, not by much, but def not lighter. IMO

 

Thanks! I'm debating a second for alt mode display at this point because the engineering they used with the grill rotate and matrix holder flip for the bumper is so damned good. It's a 3 minute transformation but has so many moving pieces during that it's incredible. I just wish it had a trailer adapter.

 

So, do you guys have a preference between the capped or non-capped helmet? Not an option I'm used to seeing.

I never would've thought to use another mold for Nemesis like that.

 

There are too many Optimus molds, if I'm getting them, I might as well pick a different color. If Banana Force's Orion Predator or Flame Toys' Kuro Kara Kuri 04 is released in purple Shattered Glass, I would consider one of them: the lanky stylized version could pass for a leaner evil Optimus in headcannon.

 

It makes a lot of sense. The more lean look really fits the sinister, even sneaky vibe.

Btw, the 3K Optimus does have a SG version that I actually like better than the original release. It's still available at E-Tailers too.

 

This bot to me could really use a MP-10 style colour version. Hopefully MS thinks about releasing one.

 

I love this mold and I prefer it over TE-01 (just for my tastes), but since I already had TE-01 for my limited G1 shelf, I couldn't justify getting both - I did the opposite of VelsR and got the Nemesis version of Magic Square because I just enjoy the engineering and articulation. I totally see how TE-01B's lankier look can fit Nemesis, but there's also something about a stockier, "mightier" frame of Nemesis (with the battle damage swap out parts) that works for me. Either way, both are good, and it's great that that collectors have all these options at affordable prices.
