That seems a bit harsh...And that's coming from someone who does think that the BB film was extremely overrated.

Bumblebee is at least a competent enough movie for what it is. The Last Knight is only a movie within a technical definition.

The fact that I can see what's happening in the action scenes makes me like Bumblebee more than all of Bay's efforts.

I'm a fan of coherent cinematography actually.

They're made exactly because they're a premium item that serve as centerpieces of a collection. They're meant to be the first thing you notice, which you don't get with a smaller statue.

You're basically asking why Lamborghini doesn't make $20k cars.

    *Reverting back to Bay-former apologist*

Bay's cinematography is a mixed bag...Some action scenes are actually very spectacular to take in, while other times lean too heavily on effect tropes like "shaky cam" which started becoming a popular technique in film at the time, usually to emphasize a feeling of being in the action, or to convey a sense of panic...This only really works when used sparingly...Something Bay is very much not known for.

To each their own. But I'd like to see someone like Gendy Tartakovsky or George Miller take a crack at it. It'll never happen, but that's the dream.

The vast majority of statues will never be produced to be "affordable".

They're at the other extreme end of the economy of scale, compared to mass-market goods.

These production runs are hand-crafted, to an order limit of sometimes only 50-100 pieces. Larger and more intricate works might represent an entire year's worth of labour to a very small production team. That small production run is their livelihood, and needs to cost out.

I think it’s fantastic. The pacing, the action, the epic scope going from Los Angeles to Egypt. No moping about dead dads, family issues, or fears of diving only to overcome said fear for the sole purpose of caressing a robot’s face underwater. Yeah ROTF :rock

The statue is amazing. I’m disappointed that the only screen accurate Jetwing Prime ever was canceled

Posts like this send me rolling lol.

Why tf do so many of you have such extreme opinions of this movie haha? Does anyone see it in between for what it is?

I mean it has some great action scenes, lots of Transformers to look at, and a very easy plot to follow. It’s a fun dumb popcorn flick. That forest battle is still glorious to behold to this day for sure.

But it’s riddled with bad humor, uncomfortable sex moments and you can absolutely tell they were literally writing the plot as they made the movie.

I swear I only ever hear people go “THIS MOVIE IS SATAN’S DEMISE FOR MANKIND”

or even funnier, “THIS IS GODS GIFT TO MANKIND AND THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A GREATER MOVIE, PRAISE MICHAEL BAY”.

like y’all, it’s okay to enjoy a movie that’s not very good haha. Liking a movie doesn’t mean it has to be the worlds greatest

I didn’t say it’s the world’s greatest, only that it’s fantastic. The post I replied to seems to be the in between you’re looking for.

Idk bro I'd switch rotf with Aoe on it

I'd say it's totally boring. Although it may have the best robot scenes of the franchise, everything else between them is purely painful

It isn't so big. It looks to be on DLX/MPM scale. Are you all sure it'll be that expensive? I bet it's way less than any P1 product

Comparing g1 episode to live action movie is apple to oranges g1 episodes good unrealistic humans on cybertron walk around without space suits no gravity that’s just for starters.,

Dark of the moon depressing is what most people want be accurate to transformers comics and cartoons prime died in animated movie that was depressing and some traumatic to kids that’s realism staying true transformers good vs bad as it always is with different transformers who fights how wars ends always was different but war was always same with transformers good vs bad with different characters.

statue looks impressive other than optibotmus be surprised who be interested but these giant statues have space for them yeah smaller are cheap less space but companies like making them bigger less to sell while smaller statues have bigger production to make more sell more

Probably because Megatron is way more iconic and famous than Fallen, and most people, not even the own movie, give much of a fuck to The Fallen. I mean, even Threezero made Optimus, Jetfire (which combine into Jetpower Optimus), they announced Megatron, but not Fallen.
