Nintendo Switch's having a Star Wars sale, so I've gotten a few games. Up first, Republic Commandos!

...I'm apparently quite bad at it, had to put it on Easy Mode after encountering these Giant Laser Geonosians. Also managed to checkpoint-save when the entire team was down and I had to take on a huge swarm of Geos with nothing but the basic pistol. Somehow got through that, which was pretty amazing.

I snagged Republic Commandos + Force Unleashed for that sweet, sweet nostalgia, there's a couple other classic Star Wars games I want when I can afford it too.

But I've been recently playing The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, it's a total hoot.

Still whacking away at God of War. The valkyrie battles are strangely like Eldin Ring in their breadth and depth breath-sucking moments.

Have you played Radiant Silvergun? That was legendary. (Also from Treasure, who did Ikaruga) hopefully it will be brought out to Switch in the future. The Xbox360 version has an Ikaruga mode added. (Black and White swapping)

Defeated the second Lord in Tales of Arise, and WOW that was intense. Shionne was dead, I had no life items left, and things were looking bleak before we struck the final blow.

The combat system has really started to open up, and it’s become very satisfying to finish an enemy with a Boost Strike. At times before now the combat almost seemed too button-mashy, but now there’s a lot more strategy involved and I’m learning to utilize my teammates’ abilities more effectively.

I guess I'm nearly done with Horizon as it sounds like I only have one main mission left while I have finished off all of the side mission and errands. However, I'm only 94.something% according to the notebook, so I'm not sure what I'm missing exactly.

Finished up all the current story endings (canon and secret teams) for King of Fighters XV, awaiting to see what the upcoming Team South Town DLC will bring. Maybe I'll try the online scene again.

Finished Republic Commandos (and now I kinda hate Yoda), up next is Jedi Academy. I 'accidentally' killed an ally with my lightsaber, dropped a tree on myself, and lost my saber by throwing it over a ledge while healing. This is apparently going to be a "finding amusing ways to kill myself" playthru.

Just finished Children of Morta & Maneater on Xbok.
CoM was a blast , played like Diablo with 7 characters to rotate.
Maneater was fun but repetitive as hell.
    You max out FAST.

    Tales of Arise update:
Freed the third land. But wow, the last 4 or 5 boss fights have all come down to the wire. I haven’t lost any of them, but I keep ending up with no more items and multiple characters dead, just barely winning.

Last night was the closest yet; Shionne and Law died, then I (Alphen) died with no life items left, so it was down to AI Rinwell and Kisara against a boss with a little bit of life left (I know I could have taken control of one of them, but I hadn’t tried playing as either of them yet so I decided to take my chances). I’m pretty sure both of them normally would have been slaughtered, but right on cue AI Kisara did her super move (whatever it’s called) which brought the boss down enough to strike the final blow. LUCKY.

Super Metroid-Finally beat Ridley. I had to look up a guide to find a secret passage out of Norfair, topped up at my ship for health and weapons, and started making my way through Tourian.

Holy shit guys, there's a giant Metroid and nothing is damaging it!

ETA: Mother Brain kicked my ass.

Got my RAM upgraded so it can finally handle Elden Ring.

Not that it makes much difference, I can't even handle basic enemies that don't go down in two or three hits like the guys in front of Stormveil. An expensive lesson just to reaffirm that Souls games are not for me.

Playing KOTOR for the first time. Hadn't realized it was, like, an RPG RPG, with classes and d20s and this dread fear of unwittingly softlocking myself at some point. I'm sure I'll pick up on a lot of it as I go on, but I kiiinda feel like this could be a game I just never finish, which'd be a shame given all the praise it gets.

Also gotta figure out combat. I thought I had it, but then I near-instantly died to something, so I guess not...
