The part of me that is disappointed at how underwhelming the Springer and Bulkhead reveals are is currently being outweighed by the part of me that is glad my wallet won't be taking as much of a hit as I expected when this subline started. Awesome for the folks who don't already have these molds or like these new paint jobs, but I personally feel this subline started with a bang and is fizzling out quickly. Though I am on edge to see if tomorrow's reveal will be anything exciting.

 

I've been really surprised we haven't seen a Generations version of Blackout. He seems like he'd really translate well.
I'd have even excepted a ER Starscream-in-black-with-G1ified-version-of-movie-Blackouts head (unreleased G2 homage).... but I'd prefer a new mold.... maybe future new Sandstrom mold redeco/remold? Blackout also being a dune buggy doesn't seem that off.

 

I'd love that.

 

if i didn't literally just buy legacy bulkhead a week ago i'd get this one...but as it is it's not enough to double dip the same mold of the same character. that being said i'm not gonna go all in on this subline like i thought i'd be.

just sticking with the fossilizer two packs.

Well, this makes it easier to pass on a whole bunch of them. I do think the retooling on impactor does look good, but I just don’t care enough about the character. Will get the jumpstarter explore and leadfoot and sell off the boneformer. Doesn’t matter how good the hammer is, it ain’t gonna be worth buying a bunch of figures I don’t need.

 

I'm sure they'll come back with another wave of Wreckers. Plenty of characters across the generations to mine.

 

This is how I feel Amazon exclusives should be in a way. Characters we've already gotten but with tweaked looks...or obscure characters.

I mean, I forgot Leadfoot was a G2 character. I thought it was a different character...Slapdash.

I'm still bitter about the whole Earthrise Ramjet/Dirge, Ironhide/Prowl, and Ratchet/Lifeline debacle.
I managed to get two of the three sets thanks to others, but the conehead set still eludes me for reasonable prices, and it makes me wish Hasbro would re-release them in the Studio Series 86 line or something with more accurate cartoon colors.

But toy colored Springer, camo Bulkhead, shiny Impactor...these are fine as exclusives to me.

I'm so torn on Bulkhead. I still say the design is awesome. And if anything this new deco is one I like even more than the original. I feel like he would've fit in perfectly in G2. His proportions, oddly enough, somehow make me think of G2 Dreadwing, one of my favorite toys of all time. Just a big, chunky beast of a figure with lots of character.

He just... isn't Bulkhead to me. I know he's supposed to be a "G1-ified" version of himself, but I just can't get past it personally. I wish this was an original character instead, honestly. Or maybe an alternate reality take on Tankor or something, which is the other character he evokes for me for whatever reason. (Of course, I'd much rather just have a big, new Tankor lol.)

 

Bulkhead already won me over with the non-transclearant mini-gun. I hope that shows up again in another accessory pack.

 

Was hoping for a new color scheme, not some slapped on camo. Unfortunate pass for me.

Hope springs eternal. Considering I haven't even bought the regular release, I can't say I'm all that thrilled about this Bulkhead. I wanted to be thrilled...

 

ya know, before figuring out Topspin wasn't going to be in this set, I was ALMOST ready to get all 5.

Once we saw another fossilizer, a repaint of a Springer mold I already have and don't particularly like (picked it up for $12.99 at Ross) and then another Green Bulkhead, I realized I really don't need to get this whole set.
Just Leadfoot and Twin Twist for me. (<--diaclone mark). I'd love to get that impactor, but I already have the regular release, and truthfully, this one isn't that different.

at first it seemed like it was going to be a really strong Marvel UK themed Wreckers set, but as it drifted away from that, so did my interest.
