It’s funny. We’re forced to do a trade off on this Arcee. Do you want best articulation? Go Studio Series? Do you want less of a backpack (and perhaps you enjoy thunder thighs)? Go Generations/ T30. Can’t have both though.

Feedback on Earthrise Arcee must have been absolutely brutal to effect change because the jokers at Hasbro clearly thought it was strong enough to reissue in Kingdom.

 

My only complaints about the new Arcee are the backpack and lack of paint in a few areas. I forgive the backpack for reasons others have stated, and it does at least result in a perfect G1 alt. mode.

 

TR Arcee is the worst Arcee ever made besides the head, and I have two TR Arcees
even ER is somehow better lol

I think TR Arcee is fantastic; best use of the Blurr mold and the only iteration of it I currently have out on display.

 

I can only imagine.

Got to wonder if ER was an Hasbro choice, and Takara was working on this SS86/30th revamp or something like that, as I would think that the turnaround time is kinda short otherwise, if we go with the usual "2-3 years development time" line we see. Then again, if it's a case of pulling up the old CAD files from 30th, then cut/paste the ER sections and just adjust as needed, I would think that with someone skilled, the turnover would be very short.

And aside the few that make it a point to declare/defend how amazing, etc. she was. And as an action figure, she is fine, but so many issues outside of that, it was a given that they'd end up doing a new version fairly soon. She's the worst shelfwarmers I've seen in years and the comments tend to be more negative than positive.

Then why have two?..

Just to be the devil's advocate here: Why aren't you selling them if you consider them that bad. I know that I was freaking happy to finally get one just a few weeks ago and I'm sure that other members would be happy to get a chance at one at an decent price. Then you wouldn't have to look at such atrocities.

I just don't get your logic of not liking a figure that you call it "worst" version and not have just one but two... I'm curious.

 

I keep my custom on display. Animated did the best translation to car mode. It just needed a little less of the Animated style.

 

With a factory paint job, I would definitely buy that.

Animated Arcee is truly an amazing mold

 

And also one of the only opportunities Hasro have ever taken to reflect on how similar in design Arcee and Blurr's vehicle modes are are:



Arcee may have wheels and lack the thrusters on the back like Blurr, but you don't get nearly identical back spikes, an elongated front with sloped sides, and a windshield in front of some seats without realizing at some point you're making something really similar.

Sadly i dont think tr blur is a good mold at all, better than er-kd arcee, but not that good

 

I'm so confused and I already regret asking: why does everyone hate ER Arcee? Is it because she lacked child bearing hips like the T30 mold?

Cause to my eye, she looked the most G1 outta all the deluxe Arcees before Legacy Arcee was announced.

 

It was generally seen as lazy. It is essentially a shell former. The entire car ends up on her back and you can pull off the backpack for a hover board. Is it required for transformation, no, but it’s generally frowned upon to pull off a piece of the figure to make it look cleaner. She’s lacking paint detail in the face too.

I didn’t have a big problem with it like some, but it is definitely the weakest from Earthrise and they could’ve done better.

 

See you say lacking paint detail in the face and I just think about how garish the new one looks. The painted lips looks terrible, like she's wearing some freaky clown makeup.
