I think it's probably notes on the project that were never disclosed to the public that Soong somehow got his hands on for the lolz.

    Well before Adam Soong?

Adam would have been a younger man in 1996 but he would certainly be alive

Yeah, it seems these writers are retconning when the Eugenics War took place. In Strange New Worlds last week, Pike said that a second (American) Civil War became the Eugenics War and then finally World War III.

Wow, considering I'm not watching SNW yet (just due to not having a Paramount subscription), that's interesting new info. Given the state of current events, a second American Civil War seems fitting.

I feel they are just trying to fix all the accidental retcons made about the Eugenics wars made over the years between Voyager and DS9

Glad he looks like a real Klingon and like his TNG self, and not the Klingorcs from discovery.

That was retconned 25 years ago. First contact put WW3 around 2040. Enterprise put the Eugenics war after that.

Great to see they didn't change Worf to the Discovery makeup and kept it like his original look.

That's not true. Enterprise reaffirmed that the Eugenics Wars happened prior to the 2000's, with Phlox commenting in the episode "Borderland" that the augments were "extremely sophisticated work for twentieth century Earth". And First Contact established WWIII ended around 2053, the first warp flight and first contact with the Vulcans happening about 10 years later in 2063.

Well Worf looks older than he should as it was established on TNG and DS9 that Klingons have 200 year life spans.

Yes they are playing the same characters.

Can I ask what you didn’t like about his TNG self?

I mean it’s not like a different that much every season

I think you misread that, I said I'm glad he looked like his TNG version. I was worried they would try to make him look like the Klingons from Discovery and Strange New Worlds.

I don't like the above look
    I like this look

Wrong. Jonathan Archer's Grand-Father fought in the Eugenics war, as a battalion commander. So unless he was immortal it happened after first contact. Terra Prime and the augment episodes in S4 also have dialogue that puts the Eugenics war in the post first contact reconstruction.

    Wrong

(At least according to memory Alpha I really don’t remember the details myself so feel free to post any correct information if you have it)

again according to memory Alpha it was Jonathan Archer's Great Grand-Father fought in the Eugenics war, In north Africa around the 1990s

They also don’t mention what his particular position was but they do say that during one battle archers grandfather’s battalion was evacuating children from a war zone when they were attacked by arguments

Nope. It was one of Johnathan Archer's great-grandfathers that was said to have fought in the Eugenics Wars, not his grandfather. Not sure what dialog you're referring to here, but if it's from the Terra Prime episodes, I think you're confusing what Paxton brought up about Colonel Green's actions following WWIII, to attempt to euthanize everyone affected by radiation damage... That was fallout from WWIII, it wasn't the Eugenics Wars. And I already quoted dialog from the episode "Borderland" (one of the augment episodes) that placed the Eugenics Wars in the 20th century, which you've ignored. Again, the Eugenics Wars took place before WWIII. And there was no more wars on Earth following first contact. Humanity worked to eliminate war, poverty and famine at that point.
