Has anyone got that Giant hammer in stock that is being Marketed for Bulkhead in hand yet - I am curious how it would looks with Leader Class Ultra Magnus, I think it may suit him even more than Bulkhead, where as Magnus' old hammer might suit Bulkhead decently - presuming you don't just want to give him the Forge of Solus Prime to play with.

I ordered the set too - but I think I like the other set that comes with the gun for the lower leg parts at least - but he's getting 1 or 2 repaints so I can just give unique fillers to each one - which is what I did with exhaust and Wheeljack too. & you could also do with Sunstreaker and his repaints if you were of a mind to do so too.

It doesn't say so in the selling images but I can't help but wonder if the small Motorcycle just shown recently can fit inside the rear of the car where those gap fillers are located - the gap looks roughly correct for that perhaps.

Yes that is a nice set. I think each of the ones available have different things to recommend them - this one has the wheel fillers which look "lovely" and the hip fillers are a bit less unweildly too - I don't hate the look for the black ones and a Black repaint is pretty likely after all so one can always repurpose the to that and just buy the blue one anyway.

Skids has "potentially" 5 or 6 repaints I can see working for him.

 

TFSafari restocked the KO MP10 trailer. These are very hard to come by these days, especially the original deco.

It doesn't plug in very far. This is with the stock hands put back on. The DNA hands are just too freaky looking to keep on.

 

This is an easy recommend for me. I got them with the medley set, the Bulkhead and Iguanus sets are also excellent. The Blaster set is good. I don't have Kickback yet, but I'm assuming that's an easy win.

Juqi is releasing a Legacy Arcee set. Not a fan of their gap fillers due to fit issues but their non-gap filler parts have been good on one set I've tried (Core Hot Rod, filler was trash but the accessories were good).

Oooooh, I like that new Legacy Arcee set (although the finish is not the best).

If they added little barrels to the wheel to at least look like a gun and a way to carry the windshield like a shield then it would be an instant sell.

Thanks for posting this. I love Legacy Arcee, but it's a bummer that she doesn't come with decent weapons. I've been looking for some, and this is probably the best set I've seen so far.

 

I would imagine getting these would be a nightmare but I thought they were cool so I thought i'd share.

They match the real Racing car's wheels nicely.



That Core Optimus Trailer looks Promising - maybe they could make a G2 Black one as well.

Just got my DNA DK-30 Galvatron kit last night, and I'd like to add my thoughts to it.

@ziltama gave a very thorough and in-depth review of this kit a few days ago, as he usually does, and unfortunately it did not get the more positve review. Although I cannot disagree with a lot of his points he made, I will say this, there is some redeeming value to this kit. His full review can be found here:

I will add the following:

First and foremost, it should be known that from the get-go, I was only interested in this set solely for the opening hands. As long as I could have Galvatron NOT clinching his fists all the time, that was good enough for me.

With that said, things get a little wonky here. lol

If you could manage to overlook some odd, bizarre and generally weird design/engineering choices made by DNA, then I do believe you will find this set worth it.

The hands:
Like clockwork, PrimevPrime's "rush to be first to market" Review of this set focused solely on what is wrong with the hands, and nothing on how you can remedy this. I'm not surprised by this honestly. But I digress.

True, the hands are terribly designed with the trigger finger being molded in a bent position, while the remaining 3 are on a pin at the knuckle, and mid-way through. They make a fist just fine, but when attempted to open in a relaxed position, it looks terrible....BUT, if you keep the 3 on the pin in line with the molded trigger finger, it looks just fine. (and the hand is open)












Things get funky when you decide to open those 3 digits pinned together further than the trigger finger can go, like this:



Again, would I like to have seen this done differently? OF COURSE! Can you manage it the way it is, and still get an "opened hand"? YES!
(remember, all I really wanted was ANY other option other than CLENCHED)


Faces:
Pretty simple here; you do a quick swap of some of the inner stock head parts, replace a section of it with DNAs, and now you have the ability to swap out different expressions for Galvatron. For me personally, I really, really wanted a different expression for him, over the stock face. So even if this is not done 100% perfectly, it still offers varied expressions.

It comes with a small push pin to use under the chin from the backside to help push off the face, works just fine.



I will say, I was fortunate to not have the same QC issues as @ziltama pointed out in his review. He had some bad mold flash and poor painting on his faces, as well as some mold issues in matching up the two halves of the heads. On my copy, I do not have either of these issues. So your mileage may vary.






The Matrix Chain:

As pointed out, it is indeed comically long. I simply clipped a few links off and reattached the loops. It fits fine now, to my tastes. The instructions do show a way to put it on where you can hide the extra slack behind his spire part, but I wasn't into it.

After shortening it:



It was pretty much hanging down to his space junk before I trimmed the chain. lol


Lastly, the gun is nice, and the blast effect it comes with. (although, I'm not too sure what this is referencing; either way it's still nice)

As for the set, that is all I'm using from it. I never ever had any intentions on making him taller, not sure why people want this when it clearly effects transformation. Anyway, those leg parts stayed in the box, so I cannot comment on those.

In the end, I am very happy with this set. For me, it does everything it needed to do.

got the Go Better Slug/Slag kit. installation was painless. The transformable horns really make a difference to me in robot mode, so much so I'm surprised DNA design didn't decide to do something similar instead of their shield idea.

the new dino legs are a very interesting idea even if they do give him meaty calves in robot mode.

color match is a TAD too dark

otherwise though I'm satisfied mainly because of the horns

 

Got the dark•ism head for Galvatron II in last night:

Looks great, really helps differentiate him as the e-HOBBY character, not the Marvel character.

It did come unglued when popping it on though. The top half separated from the bottom, but it's an easy fix.

Overall, I'd recommend it if you want this Galvatron II look. If you want either a straight toy Galvatron look or the Marvel look though, go with one of the 3d print files from @The Madness (CJI on Cults3D).


I also got in a Jazz rifle from @MagnusAfterDark. I already bought a silver one a while back and loved the sculpt and finish. This one was in black for what will be my Shattered Glass Jazz once I buy the Toyhax set for him. Looks just as nice as the other products I've purchased from them (Jazz, Mainframe, Ironhide, Ratchet, Fangry, and Sideswipe sets)


Today I also received this part for Slammer from TF-Lab on eBay:

It's obviously a very simple piece, but it does its job. They actually sent two of them, which was cool I guess. If we get Metrotitan from the Shattered Glass line, I'll have another peg for Metrotank if he follows.

Got some new upgrades in today. I'm sure they've all been seen before but these are sets I'm particularly happy with.

Shockwave's Lab leg fillers and Matrix Workshop upgrade guns for Legacy Deluxe Skids. The MW weapons set also comes with a silver rifle that looks pretty nice.


Who make this set? Superman Studios? I don't know, but I dig the head and arm fillers. And looks like @ziltama got a bad set because mine looks great and very smooth, no pitting.


YYW leg treads and window shapers for Takara Selects Star Convoy. I'm VERY happy with this set (once I figured out how to attach the leg treads any way, it is NOT intuitive whatsoever IMO). Just goes a little further towards solidifying this figure as the window shapers hold the chest star in place nicely.

I also got the YYW Legacy Kickback filler set and it's OK. I bought it for the tabbed arm filler that should hold the arm together when turning it but that feature doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. The filler pieces are nice though and have excellent fit and finish.
