As a potential buyer that would definitely be my colour preference   Didn't know about RG1, that *plus* the IDW2 association strengthens the argument.

I wasn't expecting Bayverse *style*, just wondering if we'd get the colourscheme as a nod. Since we're getting niche redecos of the jumpstarters, it seemed possible!

I don't remember that about Starscream, though. If that is the case, that combined with Arcee's general difficulty into not being a shellformer would make sense if she were designed during the same time.

 

I've got T30 Arcee, I've got ER Arcee, so they are going to have to really impress to get me to buy SS 86 Arcee.

But they've got my attention. I wasn't even thinking of considering SS 86 Arcee until now, so they've been that successful at least.

 

It does look like T30 Arcee, possibly with some remolding....hopefully added ankle tilts?

 

You got people including myself that have seen ER Arcee on clearance right next to Kingdom Arcee, also on clearance.

Yes and no. Yes, we're seeing a handful of new molds used each line on relatively unsupported characters with little media presence. No, there are MANY MANY obscure G1 characters. The odds of any one figure appearing are still super low - 2-3 randos every year is not enough space to even get through the Action Master-exclusive characters inside 3 years, for example, and that's assuming Hasbro doesn't start using their "obscure" slots on UT characters.

By the way, considering that SS86 Arcee indeed turned out to be a T30 retool, it seems like leakers were intentionally lead to believe it wasn't.

 

I think it's more they tightened up security tbh.

Things seem to be kept under wraps a lot more than a year or so back.

 

The biggest prank of all:the bulkhead wrecker is secretly just the same legacy bulkhead with the wreckers insignia instead of autobot.

 

Wow I honestly thought it was just going to be ER Arcee with new paint but they basically gave T30 all new parts below the waist and made it better. I guess this also gives credence to the idea that HasTak are trying to create definitive G1 accurate CHUG figures to reissue over and over in the future since instead of starting from scratch they retooled a decade old figure.

 

SS86 Arcee and Wrecker Impactor gives me hope that Thunderclash will be a heavy remould.

 

Man, an MP reveal, a full SS deluxe wave reveal, lego optimus, the amazon wrecker pack (and that's just today). Remember when we got no news from hastak that we relied completely on early reviews? What a comeback
