    Thanks.
It's a handy tip, but think I'd rather keep the unwanted topics; not really wanting to eliminate potentially interesting input from discussions I am interested in.

    Or not read that thread.
Personally I see much of the passive aggressive behaviour between people here as built up laten sexual tension so next time you feel attacked by someone on the board just see it for what it is, deep down they love you and want to do naughty things to your gentiles  :D

Time to reign it in. I'm not clearing out this last bit of discourse as there are a few good points but it's time to move on. If you "hate" a thread, you don't have to post in it. It really is that simple. If you want to discuss why you don't like a toy, fine. Discuss is the key word here. Posting inane memes and baiting other posters will get you thread banned.

Not sure if you got a response before things skewed wildly off-topic?

My current favourite trick for finding a paint colour is to take the bot down to your local hardware store and go to the paint desk. They usually have two or three different colour scanners (Dulux has a system, so does British Paints and Taubmans etc) and can scan a part smaller than a square inch and spit out a colour recommendation. Sample paint pots have 250mls and usually cost only $5-$10. Thin the paint down with some acrylic paint thinner and they can be airbrushed or even painted on.
Most of the staff working at the paint desks are pretty dedicated and they enjoy a challenge, and matching the colour on a toy often appeals to their sense of fun. They'll mix up the paint and try 2 or 3 times if necessary to get a really close match.
You can even download an app on your phone, buy a $5 colour card and scan it yourself to get a code you take in to the hardware and have them mix up the paint (Coloursmith Window | Coloursmith - Create Your Colour, Paint Your Colour) but personally, I like taking the toy itself getting them to test the colour match while your there.
I was able to get pretty close matches to the Deformation Space Thundercracker blue and Skywarp purple for painting my 3D printed null-rays. You'll have a hard time with metallic or pearlescent paints but for solid colours it's pretty cool.

While I dislike most of Fans toys toys. Due to low cartoon sculpt . Also 2 D robot modes.

I have to say, FT made the best Third party Astrotrain so far.
    As the competition is lacking.

With that said. I am sure another Third party will create a better Astrotrain soon. As the FT version isn't that great.

Wait.. you think fanstoys has low cartoon sculpt? Lately they've been doing much better in terms of that, after their movie bots which other than blur, left alot to be desired.

They're nothing more than line art, the original toy had plain shoulders. I assume whomever created the animation model, wanted to have a little more detail.

I don't think so. Sovereign is still one of the meanest looking figures in my collection, just a beast. Just like the rest of these guys.

I don't like his alt mode, legs and backpack. But it's an old figure, it's expected.

If Abaddon ever comes out, Sovereign is being replaced asap.

I'm just having visions of you standing in a hardware store holding up a transformer to a paint scanner. Brightened up my day.
