This looks really good. Probably will be more than I\'d like to pay for something like this, but that\'ll depend on the final price tag.

Nice, and between the two (obviously it's your decision in the end) but I'd probably but that salary/budget toward the ThreeZero figure since between the two that's gonna be more accurate and damn stunning (really thinking about getting their DLX BB since we won't be seeing that design again in ROTB).

Her head is sooooooo tiny. Otherwise this looks lovely, but that head makes it a non-starter.

For the part of your post about personalities and motivations, I can wholeheartedly recommend Cyberverse. One of my favorite things was the Decepticon’s characterizations, and how things shifted over the course of the show.

For the part about what characters should look like based on gender, maybe you won’t like Cyberverse so much…

Of course, Bruce Timm’s comment on pin-ups is pretty problematic, especially as not all of his male characters are chiseled and statuesque.

Male characters are significantly overrepresented in media, and, as such, are shown in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Restricting women to pin-up doll aesthetics speaks to an expectation that female characters should titillate before anything else. They should have as wide a range of personality types as the male characters, and as many different silhouettes and statures as well.

The idea of any media being gendered has been proven increasingly pointless, as embracing the various roles men and women can play has lead to richer story telling, and hopefully can lead to higher respect for women in the real world.

This is a great figure, but I'm still sadden that nobody has gotten Bumblebee movie Arcee face to look right. Every one of the Arcee figures has the same face, that it looks like a marionette or dummy face with the mouth and chin that moves up and down as the entertainer makes the dummy "talk".

Her face is a little off and her head is too small. Otherwise, it looks great.

I mean to be fair, she does basically have that, just with like a strip over part of it. At the scale they keep making these figures, I think it's either have the detail but look slightly off or not have it at all - Neither is a perfect choice but when things are so small, it's one or the other. If the head was a little bit bigger it could have for detail and be more proportionate, but alas, c'est la vie.

Anyway, looks fine. Proportions remind me of the FT Wingblade in some ways, with the exaggerated hips and stuff. Shocked people aren't madder about her design, honestly.

The pic you used just makes my point, you can barely see those mech details on her face, but because of it being shunk down to this small, it just exaggerates those details to the extreme that it looks like her mouth and chin are cut off. I may have to either fill those lines or sand them down to barely visible, but I run the risk of unable to paint match the face.

The kit looks pretty good but it's also done a great job of making me see just how good the deluxe is while still being able to transform (which I guess is pretty easy when you get to invent the alt mode).

I might nab this just for the fun of building, or might hold out for a redeco/remold.

Figure looks nice. Do like the scale while Trumpeter had announced a larger scale which would go well with my Flame Toys Furai Models.

The Cliffjumper was announced earlier but haven't seen that one come out yet. Would be nice if Trumpeter would bring 3 a 4 figures per year, it look now like 1 per year.

Cannot decide if the body is a tad bulky, the head is a tad small, or if it works fine.  This could use a side by side with movie art.

I like it, but.... they really could do some transformation here. Either switchable parts or actual transformation. In the old days, the lower price would make up for it; nowadays, ur just paying more to assemble this and have less features. :banghead:  But hey, Im not a big fan of this BB Movie design anyway.

Well, no, they can't, one because they're too small and two because they're trying to be as screen-accurate as possible. (plus these were all designed before the SS figures made up alt modes for them)

And third, they're licensed products, which only Lego seems to be able to bypass at the moment.
