Way to exclude obvious HasTak releases. They might not have directly said it, but it's been more than apparent. Even to their own figure's detriment sometimes.

 

Their Devy foot has two toes not three. And if you look at Devys foot you can see Scrapper 5 shovel teeth slightly higher and further back in the shovel. I think Scrappers shovel plugs into shovel foot.

 

Have to agree with him, noone else has committed to " full" batsh@t crazy toon accuracy.

Has Takara ever stated what the point of Masterpiece is? They are still doing realistic alts on their cartoon robots.

 

If they're going for the cartoon look why even bother putting these on the alt and make things more complicated?

 

They have said plenty of times they are replicating the cartoon as well as they can. However, Takara’s fanbase and Takara themselves love licensed altmodes, so they try to do realistic altmodes that fit with the rest of the line and lead back to diaclone which spawned Transformers.

But seriously, Ultimately detail makes things more interesting for TF fans. Otherwise things look so flat and boring most people lose interest or think it looks cheap. It’s why as much as MP collectors love toon, Takara and every other company adds details. Because robots would have pistons and rivets, not flat play dough looking exteriors.

 

That's awesome. How did you figure this out?

 

Lots of looking at the pictures, seeing where things are in each mode and trying to figure out how they could get there. The grey one helped me figure out how the toes move and you can see the tracks in the bucket floor for the sliders. The color one helped me figure out how the bucket extends. The extended parts are all on the same slant (back wall), so they line up right behind each other in vehicle mode. That paired with the flat front of the sides of the inner bucket and its shape staying the same helped it click with how the angle of the bucket slant changes (it doesn't the two sliding bits keep their fronts perpendicular to the ground and slide forward to meet and make the bucket taller and get "rid" of the slant). In the front on shot of the vehicle/combined mode you can see the tracks the sliding bucket parts are on better.

 

So the front of Devastator's thigh looks to actually be Scrapper and not a cover, which is why it has the pegs. Some of the seams are hard to see, so I drew color coded lines next to them. The wheels and side blocks have to get out of the way, though. From the top view you can see a seam between the blocks and the body of the vehicle mode, so they move away some how. There's a square shape near where the wheel is so it might flip around. Also you can see the feet at the back of the leg.

Also noticed some writing. I can read one of them, but not the boxed text.

Just an update regarding the combiners is tonight, later this week somewhere they will show a Resin test shot of the Alt mode.  

 

So does anyone know how long this set will take to complete, if it does complete, that is?

 

That isn't known at this moment.

 

At the rate they are revealing the first figure. I'd say about 2025
