TRANSART BWM-07 Transmetal Rattrap

 

If they're doing Tigatron, I really hope they will do a Ravage repaint of it. The show accurate one is extremely cool, but I've always preferred the toy one. Having a MP of it would be aces.

Really hope they will do RID instead. Fits with their MO more of taking and improving old toys. MP scaled car brothers with improved robot modes would be terrific.

 

You can see that have MP Dinobot in the background of the Rattrap on Cheetor picture. Transart really made sure it would scale properly with him.

 

Is it still being made?

 

As far as Ive heard but recently they've leaked all the rest of the show TM and TM2 to some degree so I'd guess so. Don't have any inside source but should be.

 

I wish we had some updated images of their TM2 Megatron if they were actually working on it. They announced a TM2 Megatron in 2017, which was even before their TM Optimus: TransArt toys bw tm2 megatron
Hasn't been any news of it since 2019 though, which makes me wary of the idea that they're still working on it.

 

My thought is that they wanted to get it right. Also villains don't sell as well over there so they likely wanted to test the waters with so many heroes being done so far and variations of Primal and Optimal. So with their success and motions to continue, it's likely that they are working on it again. Especially with JiangJX being done. They might have wanted to not compete with so many TM2 Dragon Megatron's out there. Same token, they might wait until after the Hasbro Legacy Dragon Megatron to be sure not to get hit with any copyright/trademark issues. All the other Transmetals seem to be fair game with no immediate plans for release on Hasbro's behalf.

 

They’ve totally just been testing the connection to Dinobot’s butt so he can ride around on Rattrap without flying off.

 

That would be amazing!

 

No offense because I love seeing TransArt stuff posted, but isn't there a Rattrap thread or at the very least a TransArt thread for this? I'm tired of getting alerts about Megatron and coming in and it's about Optimus Primal or someone else lol.

Hah, same! I'm anxiously waiting for colored prototype pics.

I could pre-order it right now (and I probably should) but there's that nagging voice inside my head that goes "You haven’t seen it in color yet!", as if that would change my opinion. It won’t, these guys know what they're doing.

But still, every time that alert for this thread goes off, I rush in here thinking it's time to spend money

Yeah this is the old TFW razzle-dazzle, but I think we should agree that figures that already have their own threads shouldn’t be discussed in here. Although they do look cool and I like seeing them but – they aren’t Megatron  

 

Whoa hey I wasn't trying to start any madness in here ok? Haha, I want color images as much as the next person, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't already put down the lump sum of cash on the pre-order already. Even if it has show inaccuracies, I still want this more than anything since mine broke about a decade back. Hell, even official MPs have some inaccuracies.
