They're going for Toon Accuracy, so no detailing.

It’s not even the toon thing, the edges alone look unfinished.

VL can do what FT did with their dinobots being significantly larger than MP-08 Grimmy, just include some Bieber Boots with every Constructicon figure that comes out. That way we'll have 6 sets of boots for the most popular 50cm MP combiners out there.

I'm probably just going to ignore everything until they announce pricing. Nothing else matters to me about this other than that.

In the many, many posts about this, I seem to have missed this detail if someone brought it up but did they say how tall the individual bots are going to be? I’m really in the market for a good set of not combined constructicons but if they’re also going to be wildly out of scale with literally everything else I own, then I’ll wait for the XTB set that will never come out.

edit: nevermind, the first post has that info. I swear it wasn’t there the last time I looked, I swear!

That is the entire point of this figure.

I think Vectron could be FT under a dummy name or Zeta reborn. It was stupid for Zeta to go up against Hasbro, Zeta (maybe Moon Studio now) are the best at combiners, and I doubt FT will ever be better for combined mode. Zeta should of had Predaking and Raiden already released and done, with Abominus, Defensor, Meansor, and Posidon on the table.

$500! I want them to price out all but the most dedicated so that when I show off my figures, everybody will know what a discerning collector I am.

Wait, now the entire point of the figure is to not work? Yesterday you said the point was to highlight how bland the Sunbow designs were.

Nah as much as I dislike FT’s dealings and prices, their figures do look good. And it’s easy to tell this isn’t them. It looks like a first attempt, as it is.

If they all look as good as what I've seen so far I'm in for thousands of dollars.

$600, no -- $700! I don't think I could look myself in the mirror if I pay less than you!

Hmmm...well if they are gonna have both a 52cm version and 62cm version as options, then this figure is back on the menu for me. As Emgo says, options....are good.

I'm with you there- Bruticus is one of my favorite transformers ever and even though I love the MMC version I can never have enough of those idiots!

Takara pretty much will be around 40-45 cm scale (with Raiden an exception, with 35 cm scale, it seems, but not too off with the other ones).
These are market strategies, and offering different products, the same thing Vectron lab is doing.

Takara and MMC = No partforming at all, robot in correct scale, shorter combiner (heavy robot combination for mass shifting)
Zeta, Moon, XTB, FansToys: Little partforming, robot slightly upscaled, combiner almost in scale (normal robot combination, mass is guaranteed by extra parts)
Vectron Lab = Heavy partforming, robot in correct scale, combiner in correct scale (2.7 -3 times Optimus height), (light robot combination, mass is almost done by extra parts)

As emgo says, options are good. For space (and money), i'll think i go with Takara and Vectron for Devastator as one of a kind go, but the good thing is that everyone can choose his favourite options without go wrong.

I read that as 2 different Scrapper on the market with 2 different combinations module (i think that the base model is the same, maybe you can have the option to buy the cartoon or the toy parts separately in the next future, just to shift the combination)
