Got the feeling when the KO drops great or terrible , the popcorn emoji is going to get a workout.

 

Unless it's truly awful, it feels like it should be a win for the KO. Even if it has poor joints and feels flimsy, it's a fraction of the price of FT, and since many FT figures end up posed without transformation, it would be sufficient to look good, surely? (Not that I really understand this mindset, as I transform mine often.)

I'm tempted to get one if only to replace the damaged parts on my Quietus that FT have refused to replace.

OMP has him at $112.52 CAD, although that's before shipping.

 

If these prices are close I don't see the KO as being a "fraction" of the price of the original. Seems like around 50% or half off to me but the word fraction to me suggests lower. Anyway, we all see things differently.

But what will quality be like...

 

Not the original no. But the reissues? Most definitely.

 

To be fair the current going rate for the Toon version of Quietus is €250 - €300.

 

What was the og release? Like 160-180 or something like that? My memory is a bit fuzzy. But anywho, some listings on taobao have a PO price of $75, . I might just have to create a cyclonus armada!!! 

 

I think a fair price would be somewhere between $120 to $140 shipped, around DS seeker price, any higher and it's too close to the Quietus reissue price said to be $180-$190. I've never shopped with OMP, but some of their shipping charges looked a little expensive and their pricing on some bots is about the same as other stores that offer free shipping so that's no good. As much as I dont like shopping with TF Direct anymore, I'd probably go there for this KO if the price is right.

 

And the $120-$130 this is likely going to cost with shipping is about half that. That was my point I guess.

I paid $230 shipped for FT-29T reissue (with flight stand). So this KO, if it hits $120-$130 with shipping doesn't meet my personal standard of "a fraction" of the price is all.

 

Agreed. I would only be picking this up if it is $150 or less delivered.

 

How about the ball-joints that immediately become loose on the Robot Paradise tapes? That would be less likely to happen with plastic legs instead of die-cast.

Sold my Grenadier and Mercenary 2 year's ago (Gave up on a Forager reissue) and in a way i actually miss having them.

EDiT: Old pic of mine when I was desperate for a Forager reissue but the minute I sold my Bugs, FT FINALLY REISSUED FORAGER/SET.!.!!!
