Currently have a Kingdom Blaster on the way but I believe I heard on some podcast that there might be differences between the decos on the Kingdom and Legacy releases. If those differences do exist, does anyone know what they are?

Pretty sure there was maybe a running change to give Blaster a smiling face as opposed to a neutral face? The rest of the figure is 100% identical AFAIK

Dude, you’re thinking about this variant?

It was front page news a few weeks ago. Possible Transformers Legacy Blaster Variant Head Found - Transformers News - TFW2005
Unfortunately, not confirmed if it’s a true running change or factory mixup with another (future) mold. So far we’ve seen the SG Blaster and it doesn’t match that face, but the images are too dark to confirm. It’s still a mystery for now. I’ve personally have seen over ten Legacy Blasters in the past few weeks and so far they’re identical to the Kingdom version.

    Two questions re: Kingdom Blaster

    1) how easily can his head be popped off the balljoint?

    2) where is the serial number printed on this guy?

I've had Kingdom Blaster in my POL from BBTS for quite some time, but finally shipped my loot and got a chance to open him tonight.

I have never had a Blaster, way back in the day in elementary school, one of the kids in my class had him, I often brought Soundwave, so we'd often pair up. Since then, I've always passed on various Blasters Hasbro made until this guy.

He's fine. Maybe it's mine, but it's a bit fiddly; the speaker flip for the transformation is really hard to do, getting the pointing finger hand to go into the slot is a pain, and I had to use a pointy tool to get both Blaster and the tapes head back out for robot mode. Otherwise, it's a fine figure and IMHO the best Blaster.

I've been a Blaster fan since Autobop and the '86 film, and while I quite enjoyed the FOC and Titans Return figures, this new one really hits the spot. He's got his own mold, it's fairly cartoon accurate in both modes, etc. Something that really stands out to me personally is the build quality and hand-feel. I haven't transformed a figure back and forth this many times in a while. While not a terribly intricate transformation, it's just really satisfying, and I don't feel like I'm going to break anything for a change. Decided to pre-order the SG version just to get another copy of the mold. Eject is a nice bonus for a figure who already feels like he fills out the voyager price point well. My only complaints stem from his head. I think it can afford to be a tad larger, and as upbeat a guy as Blaster is, I don't feel like his expressionless face fits the bill.

    1. Not easily, but I'm not willing to try to be honest (sorry). It seems like it's the standard two-halves glued together over the ball joint approach, although part of me also thinks the head is one solid piece.
    2. It's printed on the right side of his right calf beneath the folded-up handle, at least on my copy (Kingdom). It's actually etched in as opposed to just printed.

Really love how solid this guy feels. He even gives Bulkhead a run for his money. Really like the boom box mode, and Eject is a treat to hold up to rotating LED lights.

The broadcast blast is back! It's Blaster & Eject! After 9 years on & off the road, the smoothest sounds of Earth & Cybertron are debuting their new live album: Legacy! This collection of remastered performances of chart smashing hits in venues across the stars features 80's classics like "Ghetto Blaster", "Box Bot Box", "Courtesy of my Electro-Scrambler", "The Sportscaster", & "Electronic Surveillance", along with the newest 2021 singles such as "The Real Deal", "Transparency", "Dynamic Range", & "The Little Things", plus exclusive, all-new studio recordings of their covers of "The Spirit of Radio" by Rush, "Turn Up the Radio" by Autograph, & "Legacy" by Vince DiCola. Blaster & Eject: Legacy; available now wherever plastic audio media is sold.
Commercial's over. We're ready to rock. On the Grid, WRID, 108.5

Much like how the G1 Soundwave toy's tapedeck mode had details that made it look realistic, Kingdom/Legacy Blaster's boombox mode is brimming with it: buttons, dials, vents, rivets, even molded symbols on top of the buttons, that make it look even more authentic than the G1 Blaster toy. Also feels solid & stores his Electro-scrambler gun on the lower back with a dedicated, while slightly short, peg.
    IMG_0704.JPG
Has anyone noticed the play, rewind, fast-forward, & stop icons on top of the buttons? I just noticed as I was writing this.

Cassette player mode comparison with Kingdom Soundwave, G1 reissue Soundwave, Titans Return Soundwave, & Fall of Cybertron Soundwave and Blaster, plus a Sony CFD S01 CD radio cassette-corder.
    IMG_0717.JPG
Eject's first toy in 9 years also has great cassette-esque details, with 5mm peg holes for reel holes. (I thought it looked better with the robot torso details upside down, until I realized the cassette-accurate details are right-side up.)

Comparison with Kingdom Soundwave & Fall of Cybertron data disc Eject.

Blaster & Eject alt mode comparison with some of the above plus Earthrise Optimus and Smokescreen & Fall of Cybertron Eject's Disc case.
    IMG_0719.JPG
Transformation from boombox to robot is simple. The key to going back from robot to boombox is pegging the legs into the forearms, then making sure the hands are all the way down while folding the legs around them, so the hands don't block the legs. The leg speakers must also be rotated before this step. Finicky, but not frustrating, even with parts collision.

Blaster's G1 robot mode has also been remastered & has never sound,er looked & felt so good! On his back are three 5mm peg holes, great storage for his Electro-scrambler.
    IMG_0751.JPG
Articulation is standard, & joint & peg/hole tolerances are mostly great; shoulders & knees are slightly tight while pegholes & outward hip movement are slightly loose. Feels great overall & is one of few figures with big enough feet to support a running pose!
    IMG_0752.JPG
    IMG_0753.JPG
Button-activated, spring loaded cassette door works fine, & with his own trigger finger & the articulation to push it, out slides Eject, one of the best cassetticon toys ever made!
    IMG_0758.JPG
Eject's poseability is mind-blowing compared to Siege Soundwave's cassettes, especially for a pack-in with a larger figure of Blaster's quality! Expressively wide-cut ball joints in the elbows, knees, & even the neck, universal swivels in the shoulders & hips, & all the tolerances are so far nicely firm!
    IMG_0761.JPG

IMG_0760.JPG 5mm pegholes on his forearms are also excellent.

    IMG_0759.JPG
Robot comparison with previously mentioned, plus Studio Series '86 Grimlock.
    IMG_0762.JPG
    IMG_0763.JPG
"Hey, break it up." Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus would totally get between Grimlock & Blaster's feud if he were in the US Marvel comic. (Of course he would; he's no fun. ; )
    IMG_0702.JPG
Combiner Wars Scrounge & Cybaxx, as well as the Fall of Cybertron Autobot data disc gang (Blaster, Steeljaw, Eject, Ramhorn, Rewind, & Sundor), will continue to enjoy Legacy Blaster & Eject too; being so different while excellent in their own ways means my other Blaster & pals aren't obsolete in my collection.
    IMG_0771.JPG
For the first new mold, voyager class, G1/Generations-style Blaster, this is a top 10 charting single for it's first few weeks of release. Being a figure of this quality, of a character I wanted, found for $30 instead of $32 or $34 at a Target during a trip to Detroit, I got this relativly new figure a month and a half ago, & he does not disappoint. My transluscent plastic thoughts: over many years & many figures, vintage & modern, I have had very few major issues, so I'm greatly enjoying Eject. Here's to the next top 40 greatest hits!

Decided to pull out all my Autobots today for a group shot (minus 3 modulators and a handful of micromasters), when Eject decided to do his best Mad Max: Fury Road cosplay:

(PM me if you would like me to make your Eject his very own Doof Warrior guitar. It's $5 + shipping, no refunds.)

Is there a way to take out Kingdom/Legacy Blaster's arms by screw?

I believe the chest is held together by screws and that will get the arms off at the shoulder joint by taking it apart

Thanks for the tip. Gives me hope that theres a chance that someone can correct the shoulders someday. The figure is excellent. Only flaw is the "black shoulders".

Find it hilarious that despite all the worries about the clear plastic, THIS is the QC issue that happened.

this guys a weird one to me. On one hand, he does everything absolutely fantastic, really no complaints in his design other then he feels a tad undersized.

On the other, there's just something about him that feels oddly soulless/lacks any "vibe" or creative spark.
Better then SS Perceptor for sure, but just needs *something* ...it's like a cover song that doesn't do anything new, just copies the original...

This guy seems objectively better then the Legends version of TR Blaster, but I think I like older one better.

so is it true that the cassette uses the same plastic as the chest door? because there were rumors about getting a twincast with rewind, and rewinds black and twincasts red chest door dont match that well...

It's made from the same plastic, but there's a simple solution. They could tint the plastic on the casette to be black just like they did with the clear stuff from the Centurion Drone set (many pieces are cast in the same clear plastic but tinted to have their proper colors.
