Back to Mocha... I really wish there was a way to tighten the connection for the sheild when attached to the calf. It's a great look but it's so floppy that it makes me uncomfortable.

 

I mainly use her canopy as a shield for her off hand and the spear on her primary. I plan on getting a second one (and apparently I should hit up TCP since my version from China that I got a few months back was the standard "non ear" version), so I Can play with both head sculpt colorways and play around with weapons and back pack builds.

All that said I haven't tried the shield on the leg yet on my copy.

 

Well I'm trading two of those cat ear sets for the blade holsters so my thought was to go full stupid and have her holding a double sword, have two swords on her forearms and then the shield holster on her leg but man on my copies it it definitely doesn't peg well there.

And with having a second copy I'll say I like having two copies of this a LOT more than my two copies of Nicee. The bot mode has more options to differentiate that way like you're saying but even having one in car mode to me it's a lot more appealing than Nicee's alt..

 

I tried taking it to PM just now only for it to immediately say all participants have left the conversation permanently. Never had that happen before. Sorry, I'm definitely off topic now but, like I said, I've never had that happen and not sure how to fix it

This is the first time I've ever seen a company release a product that "trades" exclusive accessories for regular ones included in the mass release and gotta' say... it seems pretty stupid.

 

It was not my intention to press for an answer to the question. I was just reacting to how the response seemed to come out of left field. After a good back-and-forth of sharing information, you're suddenly shutting someone down for a reason I couldn't ascertain. I'm hesitant to throw out accusations of rudeness; I'd rather assume a misunderstanding or miscommunication. So I was trying to respond in that vein. The incredulous first sentence was my attempt at striking a balance between offended and indifferent.
In my experience, a response like that one is given when the answer is obvious, not when it's a secret or private information. It didn't come across as a "wouldn't you like to know?" Which would still be a bit cheeky, but by no means inappropriate. If I reread with an understanding that you meant "none of your business," then my response very much does sound like I'm acting entitled to an answer. So misunderstanding/miscommunication it is.

I was honestly hoping I might preempt offense by eliciting clarification. Maybe it would've gone unremarked if I hadn't... remarked. My bad

 

At this point it's just being dragged out for the sake of it with a whole lot of passive-aggressive nonsense from a third party (no pun) in between. Sometimes information can be shared and sometimes it can't. It's just what it is and no matter how much offense is taken to my inability to share information at times it doesn't change/negate said inability.

At this point, the whole conversation has just become bizarre and I'm going to "politely" exit my part because there always seems to be some sort of excuse for people not to air grievances directly/appropriately but rather screw up threads with completely unnecessary drama. It's such a bad look.

 

I went ahead and modified the bunny tail bow piece so it wouldn't scratch. Gently scraped the dangerous corners and edges with a hobby knife, until they were softly rounded. I've put it on and taken it off with no scratches to show for it.
I can't point out where I did what, because I can't remember what it looked like before, but I took some closeup shots of it. Hopefully they're informative. I know I focused on the inward-facing corners.

On another note: I don't think I've seen good instructions for how to put the thing on, and I discovered a method that's much better than just trying to stick it straight into place, or coming from above. So I tried to take a step-by-step series of pictures.

In a nutshell: Slip it up onto the slimmer part of her bottom, hooking the tabs underneath, then push it up into place on her hips.

Making a pair of white stripes out of the bar along the top of the sheet worked like a charm. It could be done better, but I'm very happy with it.
I made a tramp stamp by combining two different decals. I really liked the underline from the 01 decals, but the way the numbers are angled means they can't really be centered. So I cut the underline off and put the 01 PLUS above it. Having the same logo on both ends is just perfectly silly.
Something very strange, is that the magenta square on the checkerboard decal actually shows up on the black, even when the "NICE" on the same piece doesn't. I didn't think about it until just now, but this also applies to the little magenta dot on the cross-shaped decal I put on the back end of the car mode.

Finally took out the sword holster pieces from the mass release and honestly... I don't really dig them as much as I thought I would. I think I'd like it better if the peg on them for the forearms was more centered on the attachment piece.

Ok so I don't "know" but here's all of what I've gathered just observing things.

- Ones purchased from the BFB store directly had the cat ears and no sword holsters.

- Early overseas releases came with neither the cat ears or sword holsters (show z store specifically.)

- Someone dug up some early promo pics showing the holsters (the pics had changed by the time the item was listed and released.) Person made a complaint and posted it on social media.

- Company then messages that person directly and says that the sword holsters were going to be included in the global release and the person shares this info.

- No pictures on listings (solicitation photos) are updated to show the holsters but they end up being in the mass releases. No cat ears though.

- For some reason ones from TCP seem to all come with both cat ears and sword holsters. Only store that's had this reported.

So looks like Show Z supporters got boned, most releases have sword holsters, TCP hit the jackpot.

Personal tin foil conspiracy theory says that the sword holsters were cancelled shortly after production started (looking at how fragile they are and stupid they look I can see why,) thus the photos showing them being nixed from all retail listings, but after being called out they made some shit up to save face and threw them in the boxes for the later, overseas release.

 

I reckon. Don't have sandpaper. Was going to use a file of some sort, but opted to try out the hobby knife first, since it's such a small space to work at
