That is great news. I general use Show.Z for everything and was felling a little burned for pre-ordering this at a higher price. But if you refund some points off of actually shipping prices I will be super happy. Thanks for the update.

 

Yeah, introduced at $166 and while it was getting repeatedly delayed they started raising the price til it stalled at $219 where it lies and then as soon as it was in stock, it went right back to preorder pretty quick. I'm not sure how many they actually got but I ended up buying elsewhere on that too. I regret not preordering at $166 but it took so long with little info that I was getting the feeling that it may not happen. It's a cool figure but I don't see it as anything more special than the other typical $130-$140ish oversize scale figures so why is it over $200! It didnt even come with a damn overpriced base ! Lol.

 

Sounds good! Either way, I can't complain about price drops to reflect the actual price.

and man, 166 to 219 is a hefty jump. 219 is when I preordered it, so if there are places that offer much more competitive pricing it'd definitely be something i'd look into.

 

For price increases it depends on several factors. Show.Z takes the manufactures price and shipping price into account. But some times the initial price manufactures give gets changed closer to release. Is that what happened with Monocrat? For MM-01 they said they were guessing on the shipping cost. So if it ends up lower it makes sense to refund some of the figure. I don't know if I have ever heard of a manufacturer lowering the price of a figure after the initial pricing.

 

Yea, from watching Emgo's review, he doesn't seem to be super intricate, or "that" dope. He just seems ok. Sure he's REALLY big, but I need more than just size to even consider paying that much for a figure. Especially when it's based on a fan made concept.

 

I guess some of its appeal might be the durability on top of the design. That thing seems to have a ton of heavy duty ratchets on it.

Both currently up in the air. Either May or June for release. Price seems to depend. Cheapest atm is $230 with other spots being around $280

 

280 on ShowZ 230 on Bombusbee but ShowZ will refund you points it seems if you got regular shipping. First batch is dropping at the end of this month and whoever PO’d before like March will be covered by that.

 

Mine totaled $226, after the ShowZ refund, and shld be released within the next couple of days.

Unfortunately I think hes priced over $200 everywhere now. I did the same thing with him as im doing with MM-01, waited to see what BBB had for shipping and switched over because it totaled $176 getting the preorder discount plus using a coupon

What's weird is that after a certain point they incrementally start raising the price as it gets closer to release, then that is considered the release price it seems so they let that ride for a bit then increase the price another time or two. Not all items/bots get this treatment but it's fairly common I see over there. So I understand the difference in price from the initial manufacturer price to what the end price ends up being plus shipping factored in, but jumping the price repeatedly til they settle on a final price is all them. Regardless of how much I buy and see how these stores function, I continue to have standard western retail practices stuck in my head like, here's the price, it is was it is and you sell the product at that price start to finish, not raise it $5 cuz your down to qty 20, raise $5 more cuz your down to qty 10, and now raise $10 cuz there's 5 or less! I dont like price fluctuations based on quantity or the raising game leading to release and beyond. I totally understand having a preorder price break but why is it so hard to have one then the other like BBB is doing.

I think hes great! Plenty of molded detail, decent transformation, and not over engineered but that simply puts him in the ballpark with M-09, Bingotoys, Cyberfactory, Zeta, Mechanical Alliance, and Cyber Era so the $166 entry price is fitting for a final price. Over $200 is just overcharging. Maybe if other companies were doing or had done that character we would see a difference but they have it cornered for now.

 

ShowZ previously stated that those who preordered from the first batch, and paid the higher amount in full, would recieve a refund, if shipping turned out to be less than what they expected.

I def would agree that he would be worth it for the $166 price (why not $165?? It messes with my OCD lol), but yea, anything over $200 is a bit much for him, IMO.
