Sorry for the bump, but can someone ask TFC (on Weibo or wherever) who they plan on having as their next combiner?

Awesome! My absolute favourite of the set and one of the best figures in my collection to me. Extremely well engineered and put-together, all three modes rule plus a bonus Street Shark mode!

 

I’m thinking about going in on these guys but I can’t decide whether I want to go in now or wait until Hun-Gurr is out. Surely they can’t ruin it with the last figure, right?

Im going to wait to see more screenshots of Hun-Gurr. If I like what I see I will go all in. I have been looking for Ordin from Unique toys from time to time. I think he is supposed to be 15 or 16 inches, in combine mode?

Wow really? So 13 to 14 ins tall? Man... So does that make Odrin slightly taller then?

 

That height is for Ordin. If this one is about Poseidon height, then it will be around 16"

 

I genuinely don't know why they haven't at least shown a gray Hun-Grr at this point

 

the only problem is most of the solo figures are selling out from retailers while playing the waiting game. So unless tfc reissues those other figures, you may put yourself to the demands of 3rd party sellers on ebay, mercari, etc. So I went ahead and got the limbs through bbts while they had them.

 

Right? If what they say is true (that they're reworking the look), I hope they don't wait until the final iteration to finally show a render. What'll happen is a lot of folks will provide feedback and then they go back to the drawing board. TFC needs to show us a render now so we can provide feedback.

 

2nded, if it's getting reworked anyway, why not have fan input? There may be some who have already sold off the limbs with no more reason than the silence.

Aye, a lack of communication pisses me off more than the actual delay ever does. All you have to do is give out the odd tidbit just to maintain interest and reassure your customers that you're still working at it. We don't need a daily development diary or a full set of schematics and renders, but throw us a bone for Christ's sake!

 

My sole theory is the team or person that designs these guys is held up dealing with Cang Toys' Thunderking, making a bunch of redesigns and changes for Razorclaw, the feet wolves, and thorilla/thorgorilla to make a more cohesive unit and based on fan feedback. Just sucks because they started Abominus first and should finish him first.

 

Is this the same thing that happened with Foo Fighter / Hot spot for GTs Defensor? I believe it took like 4 years for him to finally come out?

 

if this is the truth, that just means the Jiyi design team just label TFC Abomius less important than Cang's Predaking, 2nd tier project?

 

Because fans beg for an update, even if it's not finished, and then whine, cry and scream about the parts that are unfinished or unpolished. It happens with these, movie clips and character designs...honestly, if I were any company making anything for any fandom, I wouldn't show a damn thing until it was properly locked down and polished because of the childish way fans react.

But that's not the way business works if you want to stay in it. If one project is higher profile with higher revenue/sales, that's the one you prioritize.

 

For company couldn't keep up its word, maintain basic business standard, ditch the customer to prioritize profit, then it's only common that customers will prioritize their buying habit to more trust worthy brand, right?
