Boy I'm glad I don't feel the need to stake my masculinity to the size of the toys I play with.

I got a bit excited with your reply, but after reading the HasbroPulse page description I’m thinking the 13 inches is referring to the truck mode.

Would anyone else be disappointed if Menasor is only 13 inches tall? That’s WAY smaller than CW Devastator and PoTP Predaking. Was hoping the combiners would all be around the same height.

Hoping your assumption is correct. I had the same interpretation as you.

We already know for certain that it isn't Titan scale (yes, classes are price points, not heights, but everyone knows what I mean.) We have images of combined mode being held in-hand at this point (albeit sans all the limb bots.)

    Transformers-Legacy-FFT-412222-212.jpg

And the limb chunks that come with Motormaster can be removed and use CW ports for compatibility. So I think any thoughts of this being scaled with CW/UW Devy and Predaking should be put to rest.

What his actual height will be, I can't say exactly from the pictures. But definitely not that big.

I have no doubt Menasor will be an awesome toy, but he does have a little bit of proportional weirdness going on.

    *cracks knuckles*

Let's pump up those quads. Chungus mode activated.

Again, I'm not saying they don't. Nobody is saying they don't. We all know they have foreign markets (which they neglect and everyone knows this). I'm merely pointing out that an American-based company that mainly focuses on their domestic market is obviously going to use the American system of measurements for their American marketing promotional materials on their American website. That is why they're using inches. I'm not saying that they are an American company with only American markets which uses American units of measurement because of this.

These two were terrible. The Constructicons suffered by being way too simple, poorly articulated and Long Haul was absolute garbage. The Predacons were terrible due to their poorly integrated combiner kibble. A huge post hanging off two of the limbs backs is simply unacceptable. And Predaking's proportions weren't even good despite this terrible compromise. And Predaking's original toy size is irrelevant, nothing any of the original G1 toys is relevant. All the combiners were the same size in the show and these two massive turds screw up the uniformity of the rest of the line by being larger than necessary.

If you're accepting of massive compromises for MUH BIG TOY because toys can't mass shift, then go for it. There's nothing wrong with liking something while accepting that it's flawed. But I've pointed out very valid critiques and it's fanboyish to say handwave because "you disagree".

    Fair enough.

Not at all. I don't see them as being too simple. They've still got some decent articulation, and their individual sizes are good. All seven headsculpts are incredibly beautiful as well. I love Long Haul being a big bulky guy. It makes sense for a dump truck.

Even with the combiner kibble, the Predacons look good. They've also got good sizes for the individual bots and some pretty good articulation throughout. Their designs are amazing. Predaking's proportions also are very good. He's big and tall and not overly bulky. I disagree that the original toy is irrelevant. Many modern toys have some type of call back or reference to the original G1 toys. I see no reason Predaking should be different. None of the Combiners were direct translations from the show, so them not all being the same size isn't a big deal to me.

The two titan class combiners added some great diversity to the teams. I love them both. The sizes and designs are great. Fantastic figures that make for some great scenes.

I'm accepting because they don't bother me. And no need to be rude. I neither speak nor typed "MUH BIG TOY." Let's keep it civil here. We are adults discussing toys after all. In any case, there's also nothing wrong with liking something and not feeling it's flawed either. I can absolutely disagree with you for any reasons. No need to go into fanboy insults here either. I haven't insulted or been rude to you. I'd appreciate the same. It's not handwaving to disagree with someone. I don't have to agree with your opinions. I can disagree with them.

There's 100% going to be 3P knee replacements that lengthen the legs and allow reverse bend for those that want the cars on the shins. So that kills two birds etc etc.

Now that we know Legacy Menasor is compatible with CW deluxe limbs, I am going to use these as Menasor’s legs while waiting for Legacy Breakdown.

These are POTP Dreadwind and Darkwing (CW Aerialbot remolds) in leg mode with Perfect Effect’s Perfect Combiner feets.

Heh, this feels like 2015 all over again!

Fyi, here to crack jokes, don’t take it too seriously.

This Legacy Menasor combiner is stuck @ 11”-12”-13” and third party will bump him up to 14-15”

Legacy Menasor @ 18” will look extremely floppy, but it is possible for someone to do it right. Only a matter of time and creativity pour into it.

Its also a matter of time till 4th party OS KO this thing as well.

I will still buy this for its unique mold/engineering despite its short size.

Nice to have it stand on the palm of my XL hand.

The standard size for CHUG combiner was 30 cm, with 2 outlier of 45 cm.
With the Generation Reboot, new size will be settled by this combiner (but it seems it's around 30 cm too)

    • This Legacy Series Transformers 13-inch Decepticon Motormaster robot toy is inspired by the animated series, The Transformers, updated with a Generations-style design
I think it's talking about the combiner height.

Yep, they were designed as massive robot that splits in six or five characters, not the opposite.

Yea… if Menasor is only 12 - 13 inches tall, he’s going to look super undersized.

Yeah, one of the only areas of this I'm not entirely a fan of (along with Wild Rider's shoulders in bot mode) is the thigh length on Menasor. They were longer in the toon model. In theory that should be a fairly easy third party fix though, given that it uses CW ports. (Another great thing, of many imo, about them incorporating those ports.) And might give us more knee articulation, to boot.

He'll be about the same size as the rest of the Combiner Wars combiners.

Why do people want Titan-sized combiners anyway? Both CW Devy and PotP Predaking feel way too BIG.
