Eh, that's sort of the key. Looks great, but not the most fun to play with. You need the additional joint upgrade set that KFC also produced because SS's base joints are too weak to handle the extra weight. And it's a lot of extra weight. Even with the upgrades, VS is a bit ungainly to handle. KFC also didn't really take advantage of any of the locking points that TT designed into SS for a potential VS, so the combination methods are pretty wonky. The feet in particular are pretty much just slippers, rather than actually locking onto the bottom of the feet. And the back clip holding the backpack on is too thick, which slightly pushes Saber out of the V-Star's chest socket.

Turns what is a pretty playable MP figure into a glorified shelf statue.

 

It was released long time ago, maybe 5 years or more?

 

To be fair, the KFC Simba by itself is a great set, the lion model, the ship mode, the robot mode. I didn't even bother to combine it with MP24.
In my opinion, it's a better add-on TF than FH God Aromor.

 

I owned Simba and it was one of the best KFC releases...Loved that thing and combined was awesome

 

Shouldn't be that hard, I just got a set for Christmas.

TFSource I think still has Star Saber and you can get Simba and most of the kit from Robotoybase.  

 

Got my KFC Simba from Baba last year. Great toy. KFC Eavi Metal Lion King Transform Robot Action Figure Special Edition Although it looks like maybe Baba raised his price by $50 after I ordered. Maybe he forgot he still had these in-stock. Also got MP Star Saber from Robotoybase along with the joint upgrades. Both good figures although I've never actually tried to combine them.

 

So while we are here, does anyone have any tips for how I can extend the legs (for robot mode) without dismantling the entire toy? (simba)
I've never been able to move them in the several years i've owned it.
how does the mechanism unlock because 30kg of pressure did not move them even a millimetre, and any more force and something will break.  

 

Just loosen up the screws on the shins.

 

I wonder if Fans Hobby wiĺl do a version?

 

Probably too busy with their DoubleDealer, Energon Prime, and the remaining Armada Jetfire/Overload. Also they'll probably continue on with Energon WingSaber before going further.

I love this Third Party XT Deathsaurus toy far better that the two uglier and smaller Planet X and MMC versions.

Please dont make buyers wait another year or Two to get this toy. Please bump this toy up in production right now.

My only complaints are minor and easier to fix. Please can you release a kit that swaps out the cartoon dragon head for a toy dragon head Please make that lion head more beautiful and less gargoyle ugly. I need that toy gun with the ball and chain. Either release a kit or anothet toy that is more toy accurate with all the parts I mentioned attached

Think the XT Deathsaurus has more beautiful sculpt in both modes. That looks more like the 1989 Victory toy and animation. The big Fourteen inch robot mode is a plus.

 

Ignore all the people who have been waiting for Abaddon and Dante (and mold mates) since 2015 or Virtus since 2016, or anyone who really loves any of your other 3 dozen announced figures and prioritize the one I love instead.

 

I don't know if it's funny or sad but I am one of those gents that have been waiting for every figure you said.... 

 

I would not say it is funny, but it is probably a situation to laugh at since the alternative is crying.

 

There's always the third option: Fart violently, down a double scotch and curse the government. Usually works for me.

 

I kinda wish KFC resculpts some parts on this toy.
I was never a fan of the organic looking Beast feet and tail.

I would like to see more robotic feet toes sculpted for this toy. That more resembles the 1989 toy.

As far as the tail goes, I think a sword tail like 1987 Weirdwolf had might look better. KFC can even add some bending articulation to the Sword tail.

Sorrry just not a fan of adding 1996 Beast Wars style organic animal parts to robotic animal like Victoryeo.

Maybe release a upgrade kit, called a toy kit. Or release the new toy parts in a re-releae with the whole toy.
