Most certainly! I only meant that my comments were intended to counter those of another poster, not yours. Feel free to reiterate your point as many times as you like.

I understood that as well, and I wasn't actually arguing the point!

And I might just reiterate where needed!

I guess the real point I was trying to make is that some people are inappropriately using the “cartoon accuracy” argument to rationalize the split-car solution for the arms. If the Legacy combiner indeed utilizes divided arm-bots that are attached to a hinged skeleton arm in order to create the gestalt mode, then fine. But that isn’t accurate to the cartoon.

The ever-inconsistent Sunbow production depicted the arms at times as elongated, jointed cars (no sub-structure) and at other times as intact cars attached— only above the elbow— to a silver/white skeleton arm. Neither of these depictions splits the cars in half.

So, the Legacy design might be fine or it might suck— that’s yet to be seen— but at any rate, it’s probably not going to be fundamentally accurate to the cartoon.

As I said just a few posts back, the split-car approach "splits" (har) the difference between the two animation designs, and is the only way to achieve the jointed car look without mass-shifting.

That's what I was saying. Honestly, I prefer the split cars on the arm to them being bulky armor, to be honest. The way that it appears to be shaping though, you get the best of both worlds; not quite one or the other, but something in between that is largely cartoon accurate.

For 3P or Hasbro combiners I don't care how you get from the bot/vehicle modes to the combined mode as long as the team members themselves don't partsform aside from weapons/super-modes/components for the combiner mode. Whether it be all in one, minimal partsforming, pantsforming or the skeleton, as long as the end result is good.

That looks so good it compelled me to paint the pipes on mine. I'll probably do the stripes, too, if I can find or mix a matching red.

Nice! That looks even better than I expected. What did you use for the stickers on his knees? I was thinking that area needed something to visually break up all of the yellow. I don’t normally panel-line my figures, but that might help, too.

A couple of extra stickers from the Reprolabels MMC Dicamus set. Specifically they're the ends sliced off of the side window stickers.
