Initial release is May but now they instructed the factory to add ratchet joint to leg side kick, so may expect some delays

 

I'm surprised with release so close there aren't any colour pics, or even completed, unpainted pics yet.

 

I _never_ pre-pay, if I can avoid it, sticking to the theory that my money is making money (in practice, over 6 months of the typical pre-order, not much).
But yes, tracking upcoming payments and deposit+final payments is a headache regarding tracking what I actually paid for a figure, so I can see how one payment and it's done is attractive.

I’m more prominently a 1/6 collector now and Hot Toys’ production period is hitting between 18 months to 2 years from PO to release these days- so, perhaps I could be sticking all the money I spend on POs into a savings account to try and get some interest, but frequently withdrawing money would probably negate any benefits.
I’m not interested in ’investing’ in crypto currency either. I don’t really understand it and expect governments will be regulating the crap out of that soon enough to get a tax cut.

I just like allocating a certain amount from my pay that I can save and spend each month.
It also helps me to be more selective with what I buy. Beast Wars MPs will always be above the rules though.
No matter how much I’ve spent, if a new BW figure is announced, I’m slapping down an order for two without a second thought.

 

Just invest in ETFs. Start researching TFSA along with ETFs like VEQT or XEQT. Wealth simple is easy to use to get started. Never too late. Okay back to Transformers!

I'm almost certainly going to get it, and I'm sure it'll look great, but I feel like I should really see the final product before I pay.

 

I have TransArts Transmetal Optimus Primal and Optimal Optimus and I'm happy with both enough to get this without the photos.

 

have any of the transarts figures had qc?

 

I mean, I have transmutate, Ravage, Primal and Cheetor. I'm mostly pleased with all of them, enough that I'm fairly certain I'm getting this.

But to go all in I would really just like to see a single final photo.

 

Not to my knowledge. I know the fingers on Primal kinda sucks for holding things but otherwise it's more solid than I imagined for them. Optimals fingers are better but because of the posing in the fingers they're a little off. Otherwise the detail work and faces and posing of the bodies are great. I'm completely satisfied with my purchases for the show detail alone. Optimal is smaller than a MP but scales well with CHUG and the other Primal MP figures. Plus getting the add-ons for blast effects and lights I enjoy.

 

I can see that too. Especially when it's so close already. But the company is milking their Optimal mold with 3 repaints and each at a lesser price scale than the Primal version.

I'd like to see Rattrap too but thankful to be getting somewhat updates on the Megatron with the features that are coming with it like the tale disc reader and the shoulder arm guns,etc.

 

To be fair, Cheetor ALWAYS had a slightly derpy expression!
