Sentinel isn't a ko company. There's bound to be some shared engineering because they're both trying to do the same thing.

 

I noticed the sculptor/designer is T Rex who has worked on countless Macross toys in recent years.

He’s defintely got the experience and knowledge to make a superb transforming/combining figure.

 

I meant if they share a designer or something, she kinda feels to me personally like the high end of "garage kit" mostly because of the limited quantity and higher price. I was wondering if trex maybe worked on the she version as well

 

I'm pretty sure T-rex and halfeye aren't related. T-rex is strictly a toy design company and sentinel is in charge of manufacturing. Halfeye is a 1 man operation (might be wrong about this) that does both.

Looks like this is real. GL also premiered on the 1st, so this is a proper anniversary date, that just happens to coincide with practical joke day.

OMG that’s real?! LMAO.

 

Now that I've calmed down from the hype of seeing this completely unexpected announcement, I have mixed feelings about this thing.

I love the idea of combining team gurren's gunmen into a single mecha, but the execution just isn't there.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to get this just for the individual gunmen though.

 

My only complaint is that the big energy "drill"/Susanoo halo doesn't have any suggestions of spiral striations in it, so it's just a straight lance/spike and not a drill.
