Unfortunately, these are screengrabs from that video, which I believe is a production sample. Those lines were not there on the prototype.... : (

He mentions in his review that the lack of silver on the IDW head horns, will be solved with the actual released product. So yay.

    Yay for IDW.

Now, @Grifter Prime, how's about a G1 head without the chin adornment?

Good to hear! If it has I'll pick one up to replace my previous "unpainted" version.

Yeah, the black chin is the exception, most of the time the chin is white in the cartoon and movie. I would prefer a face that reflects that, too. Of course the original had an unpainted face, but due to the milky material used it didn't look great.

Just watched that video and I prefer the original deco. Even putting aside the lack of a plain face sculpt, I think the original purple is more accurate and this still doesn't really look to have pink face/arms/legs (certainly nowhere near as pronounced as the T version of Quietus anyway). Ah well, saves me some money.

Me too honestly. Despite his, um, oversized calves, I actually struggled with replacing my original unpainted Eligos with Fanstoys Quietus/Cyclonus. Something about Eligos just looks better IMHO- the beefiness especially. Now he has the paint finish too.

Sad to say the abdomen finally matching the limb color is enough for me :p

(time to start getting worked up about those mismatching lower arm-wings...)

Idk if it's the paint? But man, this dude looks 700 times better than the first version that just looked soft. Just nothing compared to Eligos.

I was actually thinking about getting the Ko Eligos for that toon repaint version.

But I might XTB route and pick up this guy.
He just looks do clean and the paint on that galvy hits the spot as well. He'll look great with studio cell Unicron.

    Can't wait for some reviews..

    Lol.

I just find it odd that the original had that look, but this version is all about those few images of him with the chin beard. On every option.

Just seems weird given that there's a divergence into an IDW option.

I for one would prefer it if all the new faces came with a stylish moustache and monocle combo. Make it so!

Really? Then I humbly suggest he add a pipe accessory as well.

Ey Yo Keith! All in one Rodimus Prime plz! And more Hanna Barbara expressions (that are better than the Action Toys one) for P-6K Cy-Kill!

Yes, they should only put out one version instead of doing multiple options to cover bases. Nobody should ever improve anything on a rerelease because it's shady as hell to try to improve upon your work with new iterations.

I mean, if it's less than optimal it should stay that way forever so the people who already bought it don't feel bad.

I actually don't agree. I think things should be improved if they're re-iterated. Reissues should be better. But if I bought the first one, odds are I won't buy the second one. (I actually did buy both versions of Quietus, but at that point I could sell Quietus v1 for a profit, pretty much immediately, so it wasn't really an issue).

I think the bigger issue for companies that make a habit of doing this is, they lose sales on the initial release because people (like me) will hold out for something better. Again, that's if the initial release is clearly not the optimal colors. If it's close enough (for instance, Transform Element OP v1) I won't care. But those three figures in particular were all clearly "off." However, since FansToys rendered Wierdwolf's white as grey as well, at least it's consistent.
