Hey, fellow Bionicle fan! I would say last year was far worse for Bionicle fans with how Sakoda's ideas project was done dirty, plus LEGO changing the rules of the 90th anniversary fan vote because Bionicle was winning. This year we at least get some acknowledgement with a silly little microbuild in the other 90th anniversary set with microbuilds from various themes... so that's something.

Anyway, I just hope they actually show us some concept art or something for this dang movie soon, barring that I hope we get more toy leaks.

 

Oh, okay. Thanks. I feel better knowing that someone should tell me what I should and shouldn't enjoy. Being in charge of that myself has been quite a daunting feat.

 

On one hand, this is off-putting because its the whole ancient aliens on Earth thing again.
On the other hand, thats the premise of BW to begin with.

I'll say this regardless of if it's a bad sign or if they should tie history stuff with Transformers (For me it works since it's Beast Wars), this poster is a damn good computer wallpaper.

 

Agreed, at the end of the day BW is a story about cybertronians from the future, ending up in the prehistoric times, so if there is one story that would deal with the ancient astronauts theory it is Beast Wars, only way you could avoid that is if you get rid of the prehistoric earth story they are associated with and have them travel to the 90s

It doesn't have to be, though. They weren't in IDW until they specifically did a BW comic.

I'd love a BW set in modern times. Maximals disguised as dogs, zoo animals, etc, trying to survive invading Predacons who are giant insects and dinosaurs because they're not trying to hide.

 

Unpopular opinion: I'm glad they're using the Bayverse Autobot symbol again. I like it better than the original.

 

Does it have to be no, but generally that what it is and mainly what is know about it.

I’m gonna be honest I did even notice there was a difference between the Bay and G1 Decepticon and Autobot logos till someone started complaining about a prototype for MP+ Wheeljack had a Bayverse Autobot logo instead of a G1 version.

Hey I'd take a lil' Tahu to something like the Lego movie saying Bionicle wasnt important enough to mention. (What a massive FU that was)

I have a feeling this movie is gonna be a flustercuck of a film. Trying to cram in too many ideas and plot points into one movie.

Not quite, there was no finding ancient Transformers in modern times hidden from us. The BW story was set in the past and none of those characters turned up in G1 Comics or Cartoons as they left Earth at the end of the story.
