As far as the US goes, the prevalent use of sports/muscle/pony cars isn't too off, tbh. Although more along the lines of Camaros and Mustangs and Vipers and Corvettes, and Nissan/Toyota whatevers than, say, Lamborghinis.

Dumb idea I would enjoy: Armada Overload in Grandus colors. He's the Grandus of that trio, so it'd make sense and be neat, but I doubt it'd happen.

So, the external shell characters are used as pilots / heads instead? That'd be neat. Might work better at Voyager scale, with the heads larger than Titan Masters to fit more detail on them.

 

What about retooling the PotP Prime Master figures into Headmaster Partners for Deluxe-size versions of the inner robots? That way you'd have a small figure that could go in the shell, while still having a full-size robot
