My MOTU interest is pretty shallow (I only had a handful of toys and frankly don’t remember *that* much from the show), so I know nothing about Grizzlor, but damn if he doesn’t appeal to me.
There's not a single toy in this reveal I don't like. The only one I'll probably be passing up on is 200X Skeletor because I have to draw the line somewhere to keep the size of my collection in check, but at the same time, it then pains me that Zoar is packaged with 200X Teela, because that annoys the completionist side of me.
All these figures are looking amazing, but I am still sad we haven’t see my two favorite MOTU heroes, Rio Blast and Syclone. I am sure they will show up eventually.
So here are the known upcoming core figures. Looks like two full wave worth plus one floater. That is unless the 200X He-Man and Skeletor are going to replace the full cases of vintage style He-Man and Skeletor figures.
I'd love to see some information with regard to who is buying Origins (a sales demographic break down). The idea that more than just adults are buying these makes me smile ever so slightly. All of these upcoming figures suggest this line is healthy and profitable.
If I had to guess, I think the 200X He-Man and Skeletor will be in regular waves. What I see in stores is the deluxe versions of He-Man/Skeletor replacing the standard version.
I personally hope they plan on doing that with He-man and Skeletor, make them the 2022 peg refreshes. As for the waves themselves, based on some retail listings, we know Wave 9 is Randor, Whiplash, Trapjaw, and Digitino.
Yeah but still no official word on Whiplash. He seems like an easy one to make, he just needs a new head and the tail.
Yeah, and he was also on the back of Clawful's box. I do trust it though as this is coming from retail listings so unless something changes super last minute, then I'm sticking with that.
All I know is I remember the brief confusion some of you had with minicomic Trap-Jaw being in wave 8 despite earlier listings indicating otherwise (I think believing Sun Man was deluxe?), so those solicits seem to have a good track record.
That was confusion around if sunman was apart of a normal wave because of the Black History month thing they did with Target, putting Sun-man up before everyone else, which made people think Trapjaw was wave 8 when it was always Sunman and that was just a marketing stunt. For the couple still confused, Wave 8 is Anti-Eternia He-man, Clawful, Horde Trooper, and Sun-man. Wave 9 is allegedly Whiplash, Randor, Digitino, and Trapjaw.
No, I’m talking about last year after all the Zavvi listings went up, well before the Target preorders last month. I just looked it up in the thread to confirm.
