I'd leave it out to avoid any compromises to the robot or jet modes that might occur due to having to accommodate a third mode.

 

I'll give it a shot today. Could be a YMMV situation. Or those who managed to snag it already did so before GameStop in general caught wind of the "leak" and started trying to seal it up.

 

Why go through all that hassle when there's literally a Starscream headmaster.

 

I got an email from Hasbro about a livestream regarding G.I. Joe's 40th anniversary is dropping tomorrow at 11am ET.

Maybe that's when we'll learn the truth about Project Trooper?

 

They may not want to go that route, though. Unless the Starscream Headmaster gets painted to look like a Cobra pilot.

JTPrime already confirmed it was going to be revealed as part of that stream. The only question left is if preorders open tomorrow or Friday.

Well, I would accept a new third mode that help to get a better looking of the three modes

I mean, the third mode SHOULD be a flying vehicle but, for example, they could do a rocket instead of a jet and that, at least for me, could be more credible due to the size of the both vehicles modes are more similar

 

Sweeps repaint/minor retool with a Cobra Trooper head and deco…haha…

F**k my donkey there wasn't a preorder option at my store. You might have snuck in ahead of them updating the system.

 

At 90 USD what if this is a Commander+ sized figure with an O-Ring driver. A long shot but if it was like a HISS tank it's possible.

 

Commanders alone are $90 now, this is leader at best when you consider the markup that all of the collabs have had so far (granted, Hasbro won't have to pay licensing this time, but it's still reasonable to expect a similar markup).

 

True. One can dream.

 

It's almost as much as the Jurassic Park set was, so based on that I'd hope it would be a Leader and a Deluxe, but it does sound like it's only one figure, so we'll see.

 

I'm expecting something slightly bigger than Leader with a driver, the fact that it's marketed towards the Joe market first has me thinking it may be 3- 3/4s compatible

 

The other possibility is a Generations figure retooled/repainted to fit the theme and then an exclusive Classified figure with exclusive accessories/blast effects. For *both* figures.

That would appeal to collectors from *both* fandoms and give them the opportunity to sell something like a Cobra Commander with exclusive G1 Megatron blaster. Or vice versa, and the TF figure could have an exclusive 5MM compatible version of Barbecue's flamethrower.

Stuff like that could easily turn in to a $90 bundle.

 

I definitely hope it'll be CHUG scale, all the other Collaboratives have been (more or less) so I'll be surprised if it's not. And anything that scales with a 3 3/4 figure would be huge (Commander-sized at least, and with high complexity), unless the vehicle mode is a bike or something small.

 

I don't think it has to be super complex, the only complex part would be the drivers compartment and where that goes in bot mode.

One can hope that's somehow integrated into the chest because it's central alt mode kibble, but look at this simple custom.


Of course I hope it's not as much of a shell former, but that isn't even Leader in Mass is it?



The hiss is mostly boxy as well lending the inner space to whatever is necessary for transformation. I'm fully expecting the troop transport aspect to be axed.

I hope the nose of the Hiss is encorperated into the bot design in some way and not just thrown over the shoulder like the custom.

Primes design not so much, I have no idea that he turns into a Hiss...



Hopefully the cockpit kibble will be better utilized than Ectotron



But Hiss cockpit shoulder halves wouldn't look that bad.

I think ultimately they may choose split HISS nose onto the shoulders or if we are extremely lucky, split the cockpit horizontal and put half on his back like a Seeker.

Another thought is that, they're leaving money on the table if they don't make a BATT / Vehicon, / HISS driver inspired troop builder
