In my personal opinion, this is how I'd rank options from best to worst

5- Because it simply allows you to decide whether you want to keep the same continuity or not
4- I would happily let AOE + TLK be erased from the timeline, or at least be apart of another universe (maybe AOE/TLK prime from this alternate universe could be Scourge?)
2- I used to be heavily opposed to a hard reboot, but I've softened up a bit. Still wouldn't go for this option though.
1- You just can't ignore continuity errors, but then again this is the movieverse.
3- Now this is bottom because Unicron wins, basically destroying the Bayverse for good and leaving it meaningless in the future. But like I said before, if Scourge is Optimus from a universe where AOE + TLK did happen, but not in the same timeline in the first trilogy, then I'd be in favour of that and I'd move this option up to 2nd/3rd.

I guess this alternate universe could be Optimus giving up protecting the humans after DOTM because of cemetery wind, basically allowing for Unicron to rise and win, but, and I'll state again, is not in the same universe as TF1-DOTM.

Who knows by the end of this trilogy. If they take three years between movies, the final instalment wouldn't come out until 2029. And the 2030s are likely going to be a decade full of 2000s nostalgia (just like the 2020s are leaning into '90s nostalgia). When you look at it that way, it definitely seems like a possibility.

I'd hope not. Remaking the 2007 movie when the actual G1 origin story wasn't touched at all in the movies would just feel like retreading the same thing. Not to mention if you adapt something that's already a (very loose) adaptation, it seems to imply (especially to the casual audience) that the movies are the true, definitive version of the story. Which is already how general audiences tend to view the movies anyway.

Since leaker reviews got SS BBM Arcee today it makes me wonder again how much difference they will make her face look?

That'd be cool. And there'd still be changes even if it's a retelling/remake of the 2007 movies from ideas/things that can happen in that film (since the Autobots are always on Earth in this universe) and also just we have more and new characters that we didn't have in the 07 movies.

Well, I’m not implying that it would have to be a complete 1-1 remake, but I could see this trilogy ending in the time period of the 2000s with Optimus and Megatron duking it out, which would come full-circle. Again, not saying they have to adhere to the story of Bayverse in any way, it’d just be a neat groundwork. They could just as easily adapt the story from the 86 film and have it take place in 2005 as well, though I’d prefer the former 07 idea.

In six years the 2007 film is going to be as old as the 86 film was when it first came out.

You joke, but imagine if the Creed film series is actually happening in the same universe as the Transformers movies.

    YouTube (Legacy):
I just read this article: ‘Star Trek’ Sequel Reveal Surprised Its Own Stars – The Hollywood Reporter

This almost sounds like a joke, but apparently when Paramount announced that they will be filming the new Star Trek sequel this year, the main actors weren't even aware this was going to happen. Holy shit. They're doing a great job in giving us a ton of confidence in ROTB and their handling of future Transformers films.

It would be cool if Battletrap has an eyepatch over his left eye in robot mode. Something like SG Blurr.

I just watched a video pointing out that the Terrorcons in vehicle mode are all assymmetrical with at least one modification to the left site (in Battletrap's case, some mirror on the left of his windshield)
