Very disappointed that it’ll probably be an existing character. I’ve loved the creativity going into making new characters out of all of the other collabs. Then again, we’re in an era where names like JP93 and Guard are being used…

 

I can only assume it's because GI Joe/TF has already been a thing. So while there is potential for new characters, half the appeal is taking stuff from those crossovers and *finally* making them in toy form.

Now, we *can* hope that if this intial offering does well enough, Hasbro will do more...to the point that original characters could be on the table.

 

So if it's a Cobra vehicle, you'd say it's probably Megatron

It could, but Jtprime17 was responding to my question when he said it was an existing character and my question was explicitly about an existing Transformers character. So unless Jtprime17 didn't read my full question, it should be an existing Bot/Con in the set.

 

Further plot twist, they are repainted in Tiger Force colors as Autobots.

 

If that were the case, Snow Cat would need retooling since his con logo is molded on, but I'd definitely love a modern Snow Cat

 

Not really a G.I. Joe guy but I'd definitely get a Soundwave that turns into this.

Well he keeps using the term set. It could be a transformers character and joe character. Duke and Optimus or CC and Megatron for example

I am finally a GI Joe crossover is finally happening in proper form. Since there are two sets, I’d assume that means we’ll get at least 1 Joe and 1 Cobra vehicle. Considering that we also know it’s an already established character, having it be an Autobot or Decepticon with a Joe/Cobra vehicle mode makes sense.

I think Soundwave Hiss Tank is a definite, but not sure about the Joe vehicle. It could be Jetfire Skystriker, it could be Hound Vamp, or perhaps an Optimus and Megatron we wouldn’t see coming.

I think they might dip into some of the previous comic history.

Soundwave has 2 iterations as a HissTank, Ironhide, Prime and Shockwave also served. Signal Flare was intended to have the HissTank alt. That would be interesting.

Interestingly G2 Megatron existed as his normal self in one of these iterations.
