You're looking for something to fail before it even gets a chance.
Get good writers like Bob Forward or Larry De tillo, take the time to script a good story, and I believe that people will flock to it. Animation is important, but stories are what keeps people watching. We need new characters on a new world, unshackled by previous concepts.

Sure kid. Not convinced about the "actual human" states or some here but okay okay. Don't want to ruin anyone's fantasies here!

But really it's just a toy commercial. Been admitted ad nauseum since the 80s. If you knew anything about the state of marketing and capitalism that lead to the rise of cartoon toy commercials you'd have a better understanding.

But something tells me you'd rather be ignorant about this. Suits me.

What about transformers animated then? Did you think it's also a kiddie garbage show just from the screenshots alone, o wise one?

I never saw a single episode of Cyberverse on CN. I haven’t seen any TF-related shows on CN since TFP.

Umm... I like that Elita-1 is becoming more of a mainstay in the franchise lately, but aside from that... JEEZ this looks bad. They can't even be bothered to animate a transformation, their models literally just fade into their modes.

And wow these human character designs are TERRIFYING lol

You say that like Armada wasn't "Gotta Catch em All, Minicons."
And the animation in that show was mid as fuck.

Actual humans are also around to think that Very Serious Transformers Fans complaining that Hasbro dares to make their Very Serious Robot Cartoons About Death And Violence appealing to children, as though G1 wasn't all about appealing and selling toys to children are being ridiculous.

It’s modern day Nickelodeon. It’s not going to be good. Maybe little little kids who don’t know any better will like it. But when I was a little kid myself without any rose-tinted glasses, Transformers wowed and impressed me the first time I saw it.

I can watch kids cartoons from the 70s, 80s and early 90s just fine even now. Even old shows I had never seen as a child such as The Amazing Chan And The Chan Clan, which I got into last year. But modern kids shows are just a turn off for me from the get go.

You want new characters and concepts, go watch another show.

So this is our new show and we’re supposedly getting another trilogy of live-action films from a movie company that’s at death’s door.

:banghead:  This franchise needs to die.

They probably did, only to be proved right the fuck wrong with the premiere. Hopefully this show is the same but just keeping it at lukewarm expectations for now.

Eh, I would question his ability to still do it 'well'.

And yes, even I said I'd like Chalk, but hes almost 70. I'm thinking longer term. A new iconic person to do it for 30+ years.

No Animated visually is lightyears ahead of this, and the reason people assume this will be aimed at babies if that Cyberverse and RID were, so why now are they suddenly going to go back to quality writing like Animated? it doesn't add up. If you're expecting that prepare to be disappointed.

Don't be silly, we've seen 12 seconds and some static screenshots. That's more than enough for the TFW2005 elite to weigh in with educated and reasonable critique of what to expect.

Wait, are you saying that if anyone has a negative opinion of the show, then they're intellectually challenged?

You seem enlightened. Tell me, oh wise uncle that sits and argues with the youth, for no apparent reason. Why is it that, despite almost every single piece of franchise media in the world also serves as a commercial for toys, merch or other businesses, it's only being brought up again and again by adults as an excuse to justify low quality efforts for only Transformers media that's "intended for children"?

And wasn't the whole deal with G1, the very fact that it elevated the material beyond the intended "toy commercial" goal, so much so, that a whole generation of children became attached to the characters enough to be traumatized when they were killed off? And even moreso, enough to be here, almost 40 years after that, still collecting the toys and analysing every little detail of mythology there was to it.

    But sure, stay ignorant.

What's ridiculous, is adults shilling for low quality children's cartoons, that children won't give two shits about, in a forum populated by adults.

If you were familiar with amazing cartoons of the time like Teen Titans or Spectacular Spider-Man, then you would have been a fool to write off Animated for its stylized art-style.

Cheap and kind of ugly 3-D animation like what we see here with Earthspark does not have that same luxury or benefit of the doubt.
