Man, this thread is really going off the rails. Weird to see the proclivities of the fandom coming out, kind of wish I could unread some comments.

Honestly, just like back with the FLAME TOYS Windblade when it was first shown, if people don't like something, then don't f***ing buy it. Kotobukiya is not trying to siphon funds out of your savings account here, jeez. Just chill, don't comment, and let everyone else who likes these have their enjoyment...

But then people will realise how hollow and dependant on being female Arcee's "character" is for appeal.

Honestly I would not at all mind if that character was just retired. Every other female TF is so much better. And honestly she's been like that for so many years as so many of her incarnations that it's become such a part of who she is (excluding the incarnations that try to go the complete opposite direction, without having any substance from G1 to lead her somewhere that both seems like an "Arcee direction" and actually interesting) that trying to make her a real character makes her seem like not Arcee and better off an original character.

I love this artist's style. I wish we saw Theiacore and Arbelos more.

Varies a bit depending on how elaborate the design, but they range about $95-140 USD.

I like how well-thought the Bishojo re-designs on Optimus and Megatron are, with the suitcase trailer and the antenna/buckethead hairdos.

I especially like Megatron more, he gives off Esdeath vibes.

Optimus, I'm not a fan of his shorts, he could have worn tights or stockings. But that's my only criticism to his design.

Honestly my biggest gripe here is I don't know why Japan loves the "Watashi ni ii kangae ga aru!" (I have a good idea!) pose for Prime. Like, every time a licensed product for Convoy comes out in Japan, they show it doing that pose--he did it like once in the show. I guess Japan thinks it's a cute/goofy pose for him...? But yeah, they definitely should've had the finger pointing straight out as the "Autobots! Transform and Roll Out!" pose is MUCH more iconic. Hopefully she'll come with optional arms.

Actually, looking at the genkei photos, it does look like the arm separates there, but that may just be for assembly purposes. Hopefully she'll come with a gun arm at the very least.

I'm fine with the shorts. It evokes the "diaper" from the Sunbow character model, while being fashionable and cute. And not full cheesecake like booty shorts, even if that would be a more "accurate" cut.

Folks really can't help bringing up KP whenever the topic of Transformers-X-animegirls comes up, I swear it almost seems like some of you miss it :lol , either that or it was just that traumatizing for you all (guess it definitely did its job since being shocking was the point, which a lot of people like to forget and which these are not trying to be)

That aside, that Megatron is fine. I'm a real sucker for the military look with her. Evokes the same feels as games like Azure Lane, Girls Frontline, or Blue Archive which I really like. I love how many details from the originals are translated into clothing and accesories for these. Really gets across the gijinka idea. Not much of a statue collector admittedly, (mainly because they tend to be on the expensive side) but I'd definitely consider a Starscream, or Bumblebee, or Shockwave if they were to do more.

Those who are alarmed should know this concept is nothing new. Even Bandai made model kits like these back in the 1980s.

Optimus is doing his, "I've got an idea" pose from MTME because the Japanese translation made that into kind of a catchphrase," 私にいい考えがある!!!/ Watashi ni ī kangae ga aru!!!" It's a meme among fans and was specially advertised for MP-44 sound box. The joke is Optimus's plans never work.

As usual with Optimus toys, they run outta ideas when they have to transform the legs. The wheels on the boots is the only misstep. They should be buckled boot straps.

If these were articulated S.H.Figuarts I'd be clicking the preorder buttons. I love the way they translated the designs over. The red lined trench coat is perfect.

I kind of wish Optimus had a design more like Enterprise, but I definitely see where they're coming from for thematic designs with Autobots being casual civilians and Decepticons are uniformed military.

Your pfp kind of makes me wish these had aesthetics like Gears with armor bits invoking robot kibble, but if regular clothed anime girls can be slightly polarizing, just imagine what Symphogear outfits would do . . .

Possible, but Bishoujos don't usually feature optional parts, so what you see is likely what you're gonna get here.

The Wonder Woman had a separate dagger arm, granted that was a long time ago, but I was thinking maybe we'll get lucky this time... it would be odd for Megatron to have his/her cannon (granted it's part of his body...) and Prime not to have his/her blaster.

Oooh... probably the first bishoujo figures I'll be buying. Loved the designs of the others, but I was never really a huge fan of the franchises. Finally, official anime girl versions of Transformers (not counting Gridman). (^.^')

These actually look really well done. Better than the typical "Let's throw some robot parts on girls in bikinis" that I typically see in this style.

I\'m suprised that Kotobukiya didn\'t announce a Megami Device Transformers line.
