The thing that got me perplexed was the little slug figures were loose inside the tissue paper wrap with the other accessories. No budget left for a little zipper baggie Hasbro?

Or, if they're trying to be "environmentally conscious", at least a little paper envelope.

That freaked me out for a bit, because I was just unwrapping the paper to get at Galvatron's accessories, and wasn't expecting all the microfigures to come spilling out as well. Had to make sure the little buggers didn't get lost in the couch cushions or something.

I saw how the fusion cannon and gun pieces were loose in the paper and remembered Terrorsaur had his small elbow blades packed loose in the same kind of paper, so I expected the slug figures to be loose too.

    I even took inventory:

Well, remember that Hasbro is trying to remove as much plastic from their packaging as possible (SS86 Coronation Starscream's accessories come inside tissue paper inside a plastic baggie???) and then be less perplexed.

Doing all these things together, tissue paper, paper cords, windowless boxes (for some releases), etc, makes the current releases come off cheap. I know the reasons behind it, and we as core fans can get over it, but I think it crosses over into where a casual buyer would start to eye the figure for faults too that they might not have been as inclined to previously.

Bought mine for the mini figs and the ships, the ships are disappointing.

the ships are soft plastic and came “bent” so I’ll have to get them straightened out. Also No stands for the ships!?

Beside Reformatting Galvatron and Unicron, who else included the mini figures?

The Ark comes with an Optimus Prime mini. As did the Centurion set.

Does anybody else hope for (at least) one more batch of slug figures?

I realise there are only so many slots available on the Haslab Unicron display stand, but I would really like it if we could get Dinobot Sludge to complete the team.

Wreck-Gar would be a welcome slug figure, to accompany the other 1986 cast members.
Daniel in an Exo-Suit would also fit in well.

I'm not sure who else I'd like. Bumblebee/Goldbug, maybe? It's not like Hasbro to not include a Bumblebee whenever they can.

Oh, and we need more clear plastic arms to plug the ships onto!
I'm baffled by the oversight to not include any with the Behold Galvatron ships.

Yiiiiikes, I wouldn't recommend people clip the shoulders into the chest in cannon mode even for the regular retail version, there were so many reports of it causing stress marks. I didn't even try for the 1-per-customer clear version.

The clear plastic does seem to be of a different density and flexibility than the standard stuff; I transform the mass retail Galvatron every day or two and the clear version feels stiffer, more like it gets "stuck" on itself. The stalk connecting his right tank tread to his right arm was so stiff and stuck inside the clear plastic I thought it had been installed backwards, then I just had to bite the bullet and force it. When he goes back into robot mode it'll be for keeps.

Transforming Behold Galvatron very much reminds me of transforming the clear parts of Siege Mirage, with all the tabs feeling like they catch with more friction and I'll shear them off if I mix up the transformation or pull at the wrong angle. Which is exactly what happened with Mirage from my son playing with him.

Count me as quite disappointed. The white line are not black light reactive, the one thing I was hoping for with this figure. I don't care about the accessories or the off-model "reformatting" paint job, I was hoping it would really shine in the right light. This and the RED reformatting Megatron are big misses for me :(

Only if they're solid plastic like the originals and not this terribly rubbery stuff used in the Galvatron pack.

The lack of arms for the ships bothers me so much..

Contacted Hasbro customer service today about the missing Cyclonus. While very nice, they said there wasn't really anything they could do about it. They will be sending me something to "make amends" for the mistake though.

Yeah, all I’d like is Sludge. The little figures are a cool novelty but not something I’m clamoring for a bunch of.

I went away, thought about it a little more, and came up with what I think is my ideal wishlist for one last set of slug figures.

I am assuming 14 is the goldilocks number to produce on a budget since that's what we got in the Behold Galvatron set - any more or any less skews the cost/benefit ratio.

I intentionally did not include any Constructicons and did not pad out the list with repeats of the Starscream slug figure to represent Thundercracker or Skywarp.
    No additional Sweeps, either.

    1. Springer
    2. Wreck-Gar
    3. Blurr
    4. Blaster
    5. Dinobot Sludge
    6. Bumblebee/Goldbug (let's face it, at this scale it could conceivably be Cliffjumper, also)
    7. Daniel in exo-suit
    8. Jazz
    9. Wheelie
    10. Shockwave
    11. Astrotrain
    12. Blitzwing
    13. Quintesson Judge
    14. Octane (this one is my wild card. I just wanted to round out the Decepticon Triple Changers)
3x ship display arms (colourless transparent, exactly the same as the one packaged with Haslab Unicron)

I think, if we were able to get just one more set of 14 I could close the book on slug figures and call it done.
