Wreck-gar blaster that also doubles as exhaust. The unusual thing about this is how it attaches via the red spikes.


Bumblebee blaster that retracts. Also stores in bot and alt modes. I personally like the look of the unpainted proto version better.


Collapsing Rodimus Prime blaster. I think the stock one is perfectly serviceable as is, but here's another option.


Galvatron Samurai mask. Yeah, I don't get this one. Also protrudes out a bit.

Yes, highly recommended. The best Tim Heada set ever released. Too bad nothing else he's released has reached the level of quality here.

The fingers implode. Can't guarantee they'll fit the various kits with gap covers either.

You're probably better off just posting your idea in here or in a user that makes upgrades radicons thread. But some of the Chinese upgrade kit makers do have weibo accounts.

No, they haven't ever offered a purple variant - only black for Skywarp. Guess they favour the G1 toy over the Sunbow cartoon?

It's a little surprising, really, that they've never attempted purple. Enough fans prioritise Sunbow accuracy and would choose purple over black.

I'd be willing to bet that matching Skywarp's black is a hell of a lot easier than matching his purple, which varies from release to release over the years.

• Trailbreaker has a hand upgrade kit from Nonnef (not sure if available) and JRC design hubcaps
• Ratchet has the Nonnef Upgrade kits (still available) including feet.
• Bluestreak has JRC design hubcaps.
• Sunstreaker has a few toyhax stickers for better colors, gap fillers from TF Safari (Chinese 3D printed, a big set)
• Optimus Prime has the gun and axe that came with the official pulse weapons kit. Also I put on his Siege head. Also the Go Better GX-09 Backpack.
• Wheeljack has Nonnef's set. (still available)
• Hound has Nonnef's set. Not available anymore, but you can get good replacements from TF safari.
• Ironhide has Nonnef's set (still available) including feet.
• Prowl has Hubcaps from JRC Design. Also gave him his ER head for accuracy.
• Mirage has Nonnef weapons and hubcaps, and a shoulder mount from JRC design.

• Not much you have to do here.
• Soundwave has JRC design forearm fillers. There are TONS of options for him.
• Megatron TBD (still making decisions).
• Official weapon kit accessories all around (reflector, tape mode soundwave, gun mode megatron).
• ER Starscream is fully compatible with the Coronation kit, so I swapped them and used the better Coronation Starscream as my 1984 version.

• Weapon upgrades for Coneheads from Nonnef. Still available I think.
• Astrotrain has a chinese upgrade out that I havent gotten but looks good.

• Inferno and Grapple JRC Design gap fillers + Chinese gap fillers (complimentary). Grapple has Go better GX06 upgrade kit.
• Hoist has the Nonnef kit and JRC hubcaps
• Red Alert has the Nonnef kit for weapons and JRC design spoiler kit.
• Tracks has the JRC design fender holder
• Smokescreen has some AMAZING shoulder cannons that arent available anymore, but there are other options out there to use, such as Nonnef (on final order). Also has JRC hubcaps and gap fillers.
• Weapons for the minibots (along with 1984 autobots) are from a Nonnef kit (discontinued, but there are other options)

1986 Autobots

• Ultra Magnus has chinese gap fillers (legs kinda suck, pylons are great). There are better options than I got out there now.
• Arcee has a backpack replacement (really sucks). Apparently there is a new Arcee coming later this year, so maybe wait.
• Blaster will be getting gap fillers from JRC soon.
• There are upgrades to Wreckgar out there, but I havent gotten them yet (not sure which ones I want).
• Kup has JRC design hubcaps
• Springer has a sword holder clip from JRC design

• Unicron has LED eyes from Shockwave Labs, and (not pictures) a light up maw from shockwave labs.
• Galvatron has the ZX kit + a new head from a Radicon. Also I gave him the more show accurate grey treads from the Selects 'Toy Galvatron". JRC design forearm covers.
• Cyclonus has Chinese gap fillers
• Exhaust up there has Nonnef addons (not available)
• Doubledealer has the height extender from JRC design

• Scorponok has the DNA Design kits (all of them). He has a Headmaster panel from JRC design. Not pictured, he has a silver claw replacement for his shield from Ebay (Chinese).

• The Sharkticons have eye spikes from JRC Design. There is a new major upgrade set but at $20 a piece, I won't get them for a troop build.
• There are some upgrade kits for the Quintessons but I passed on them.

• Selects G2 Megatron (here as BWII Megatorm) has the cannon and handgun from Larkin's Layer. It's the best cannon there is. ALso an orange shoulder piece from JRC design. There is a new set that has an AMAZING chest piece but a worse cannon than this I'm thinking of picking up.

• Dinobot has the Chinese claw and gap fillers upgrade (Chinese). There is an injection molded version of this out there now though from one of the addon makers.
• Rattrap has GX-22 gap fillers.
• Cheetor has the weapon upgrade all over ebay and JRC design gap fillers (ESSENTIAL)
• Optimus Primal has no upgrades but good ones are available. Scorponok too.
• Blackarachnia I swapped her spider legs with those from the Buzzworthy Bumblebee 4 pack (which I think was intentional on Hasbro's part).
• Megatron has Chinese ebay gap fillers.

I'm sure I missed some but I think I got 90% of them. Basically check out JRC Design and Nonnef first, and fill in the blank with TF Safari and Ebay. And bring money.

 

ZX / Mechanical Skull Studio set for Waspinator

 

Oh man! That is exactly the type of thing I've been looking for to make Kingdom Waspinator actually decent. Though I'm curious what the white part is that goes into his chest?

That bug ass cover is worth a good $10-15 to me by itself. Sold, assuming it stays in place worth a damn.
