And after some slow weeks, January is leaving us with a great load of new sightings. The highly anticipated Legacy Voyager toys hit shelves in Germany plus a great variety of Cyberverse toys, the last Kingdom Deluxe toys have been found in Ireland, Hades Megatron and Zoteki Transformers statues are available in Mexico, Beast Wars Scorponok was found in Costa Rica, and to make things even better the new Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Deluxes have been spotted in Singapore and Taiwan. Looking at these photos, I'm definitely relieved to have gotten the "closed window" Kingdom version of Blaster. Also Hasbro took the plastic from the Generations collector oriented line, just to use plastic on the vintage Beast Wars & parts of the Cyberverse lines???
Really don't like the security screen being taken off packaging. I get the move to stop using as much plastic as possible but the security screen was a really important part of the box. Figure swappers and general thievery is 100% easier with a huge hole in the box and paper twist-ties holding the figure in the box. There's also the ongoing Pandemic that's at an all time high, this will undoubtedly get someone sick. I hope it's brought back or boxes omit the window all together like Commanders, Leaders, and Titans.
I\'m really hoping I can get Ratchet & Perceptor, those are the 2 deluxes out of the upcoming wave that I want the most, I also hope I can get the Bumblebee movie Shockwave & Ravage,I also hope Legacy figures show up around my area.
I'm honestly more concerned about it being easier for people to damage figures. Plus, I don't want people getting their grubby hands all over my figures. I deal with OCD and having to start washing my Transformers after I buy them is another compulsion I'd rather not have to add to my anxiety. I already had to do it once with the ufo alt mode Buzzworthy Bumblebee figure. Sidenote: having OCD during a seemingly never-ending global pandemic? Super fun time. Anyway, looking forward to seeing these figures hit the States soon.
You are not going to get sick from open packaging. Viruses don’t last that long outside the human body or FRESH bodily fluids
Couldn't agree more! I'm honestly most likely not going to ever touch any Legacy figures that have been on store shelves, it's just not hygienic or safe an any way, and like you said "We are in a pandemic" what are they thinking??? Because it's clearly not about saving the planet or anything like that, when all Hasbro did was take the plastic from the Generations Legacy line, and started using even more plastic on the Vintage bubbles & small Cyberverse figures! I mean for crying out loud, the TikTok trend is literally damaging figures, swiping heads & accessories, or wiping mucus across the faces of figures in "Windowless" Packaging!!!
I don't know who touched the box or the figure if I'm buying figures in store like a lot of collectors do. Especially with these items being toys and children being prone to touching everything they can with no thought of where their hands have been. COVID-19 has specifically been shown to last in the air for 3 HOURS, on cardboard for 24 HOURS, and on plastic for 3 DAYS, that's plenty enough time to get someone sick.
And what about all those other diseases? Are you vaccinated? Are you boosted? This virus has broken people’s brains. This goes beyond precautionary and well into mental illness territory
Unless you're licking a toy right after buying it from the store, or licking your fingers after touching the packaging, you're not at risk of getting sick from you know what, I don't care, at this point this "open packaging panic" is the most annoying virus of all, it keeps infecting new threads.
Yes I'm vaccinated that doesn't prevent me from catching COVID-19 or more specifically the Omicron variant which is resistant to the vaccines, beyond my own well being this can affect anyone I have contact with. If you think it's mentally ill to be concerned about the biggest health crisis since fucking polio then send me to the funny farm.
Dude. I'm vaccinated, and I take Covid pretty seriously. I am, however, also aware that the major infection vector by far is still "human mouth to human face" and not "human mouth to human hand to surface to human hand to human face". Back in 2020, when Covid had just become a thing, there was a town in Germany that was one of the first hot spots. There was a household where everyone was actively infected, and they took a bunch of virus samples from the door knobs. They were not able to grow live viruses from the samples in their lab. Viruses cannot survive outside a living host body for long. The risk of getting infected from touching a surface is minimal, unless you have a tendency lick your fingers afterwards maybe. The virus gets spread from person to person. Touching Transformers toys will not give you Covid. If you're really that concerned, just put them in a safe storage for two days after purchase before unpacking them. Problem solved.
Primus help me, I don't use TikTok so I had no idea, is that really a thing!? WHY WOULD PEOPLE DO THAT!?! As if I needed something else to add to my anxiety...
