Now that we got some more closeup shots and a better look at the final version of the sculpt, colors and transformation, I'm not feeling it.

I was all in, but for now, I'm all out...
Maybe some of the other members can make it up for this one

Not sure if this was known yet, but Bombusbee lists the full price of Slingshoot as $92.99. + $22.50 shipping to US or Netherlands.
    ShowZ has $122.99 shipped listed.

To be a bit brutal about it this doesn't scream $100 toy to me.

It's alright it's pricing just seems out of wack with the quality.

The combined mode alternate colors were fanmade concepts. The fan made three or four concept color schemes

I appreciate the built-in fists, but the figure itself looks all around cheap and not interesting.

Maybe if it was a cheap $40 toy it would be worth a shot, but $100+ a pop for just the limbs - LOL no way. They priced themselves into oblivion.

$40? You been smoking whatever FansToys has been smoking when it comes to setting prices?

Honestly, given the part count, that it's an original design, and the size of the figures (these aren't KO voyagers) I'm more surprised they seem able to pull it in under US$100 (plus shipping). Puts it around the same or slightly less than the Thunderking and the (smaller) MMC self-contained combiner pieces. Seems quite reasonable, so long as they can pull it off without compromising too much - which seems very likely given the links between DST and Cang.

They can charge whatever they want, but I'm not buying it for $100+. Does not look worth that price to me. Not a difficult concept to understand.

    Same here...

Had them all pre-ordered, paid the first in full, and then....
The first real view close-ups came in and it was an instant turn off from what the first official pictures showed. the look of the plastic, the final sculpt, the finish in paint and the transformation to me isn't worth the 600+ euro to get the whole team.
    Cancelled everything immediately.

Maybe when the other members come out it may change my view if they are much better, but i doubt it

Given there have been Cang Toy's Predaking leaks with DST's Superion in the back, they are probably related to each other in some way or another. And Slingshoot's quality looks like Cang Toy's Predaking's limb bots. Do you feel the same way with the Cang Toys Thunderking limb bots?

The chatter about price is amusing. Does it look like a figure worthy of a three-digit price tag? Yeah, easily. I really wasn’t surprised at how much they’re asking for it. It seems to be in line with the rest of the market. However, would I pay even $50 for it? No.

One doesn’t need to say it’s overpriced to justify passing on this figure. I felt like this set was heading in a good direction early-on, but once the final product was revealed, I simply didn’t like the design. From what I’ve seen, the materials look good, the assembly quality appears fine, the complexity is nice, and the finish is more than respectable. I just don’t like some of the design choices. The head sculpt is bland, the color palette dull, and some of the proportions awkward— in my opinion.

I feel this toy is probably worth the asking price for someone who finds it appealing. I’m not going to bash it for objective criticisms that I can’t substantiate. Subjectively, it just misses the mark for me.

Wait, is this combiner also going to be available in the standard Superion colors? I thought it was only available in silver?

I don't think that was a leak. It was just a shop showing off some figures/prototypes they were sent. The connection is they're both using the same designers/distributor (JiYi).

I do believe EVERYTHING said is subjective aside from data like size and shade of paint ;)  But this is a proper statement...to each his own as the saying goes. I can't afford the Heat Studios statues at $1.5k or so, but I would have paid $3k for the transparent version of YOLOPARK OP....BUT I would not have paid $2.5k for the NORMAL version. We all value different figures differently and I value the views different from mine as they SOMETIMES either allow me to purchase or cancel a last minute thing. :D

Here's what we have on the possibility of a G1 recolor.
    The G1 colors were digibashes.

I really really like this. The jets appear immaculately executed to appear realistic at an mp level, and surpasses hasbro in a new way. While the botmodes are less my style, I like the heads.

I should clarify. I really really like looking at this. I.e. I know this is way cooler in my head, and I learned my lesson many moons ago about large combiners — the more moving parts, the more stuff that has to be adjusted, balanced or repositioned, if it didn’t pop off on the first place.
