I'm not feeling the tangent Leagacy is going for. So I just canceled all my preorders except Kickback and Preceptor. I had those as a kid so nostalgia. Will wait for sales for the others.

Edit: The add-on tail is too heavy for scorpion mode unless some modding is done to increase the friction of the stock tail parts.

 

So the price hikes aren’t really impacting my plans all that much. I ended up cutting a bunch of stuff after an appraisal of my collection and my plans. I ended up giving my kids a bunch of stuff as a result.

I don't know what it is about how they did Arcee and Bulkhead, but somehow the way they designed them just makes them look plain good together. Eager to see them together in more group shots with WFC bots to come. Arcee is replacing my Earthrise version. It's not even close (but I would like there to be a pink version so I can repurpose this Arcee as a new character.)

And then there's this vehicle shot that let's me know that, huzzah, Bulky passes my vehicle scale squint test! If someone else has one, then I assume it'll help them too if they haven't seen the video. I thought from earlier photos Bulkhead was about as tall as Pipes in alt mode, but that doesn't appear to be the case now.

 

Yeah, I've been won over to these Arcee and Bulkhead molds. I'm only hesitating on this Arcee out of news for a Flamewar redeco, and waiting on finding out what the Bulkhead redeco will be in the Velocitron subline before I order this one.

 

I know we're getting either the Siege or Earthrise version rereleased in Legacy, but will there be a Prime version of the character at all?

I had the same thought of replacing my "Autobot Heroes" Arcee as I think Prime Arcee is much cooler looking and I don't like pink in combination with white at all. And the character is of course more nuanced than "bad ass Sharp Shooter Cover fire girl"

But, the scale bothers me with this Prime universe Arcee.. in both robot and vehicle mode. Still wish she was a core class

 

Quick question for anyone who knows. RID Scourge is rumored right? Just asking because I low-key don't wanna pay scalper prices for Siege Nemises prime

 

Yeah, she doesn't. One of my reasons for getting her is the fact we haven't gotten a decent vehicle fembot mold in like ever and it seems very unlikely there's going to be any coming out who is from Earth. Given the presence of my JW toys, there's at least something she should look good enough with. It's hypocritical to go against my own rules like this after I dropped everyone else who broke them but Arcee can hide in Optimus's trailer for Teletraan's scanning goof up.* 

I can't help but think about the Core thing myself. When TFP was airing, I actually searched far and wide for the Legion class version but never found it because giant motorcycles just haven't ever been my vibe. So, I never ended up with an Arcee. I know now I'll be missing out if I hold out again. The Legion would have been the perfect base for a Core Arcee. Really just add a couple transformation steps and joints, boom. But then she wouldn't have been as articulated so I guess there's a trade off.

*I'm actually intending to find small toy motorcycles to stand in for Arcee and Road Rocket. It'd be nice to find suggestions. I actually left room in my budget for said motorcycle minis.

We think so much alike. I adore her for the same reasons. Never liked the size of the Prime molds, couldn't find the legends (nor animated legends prowl, now that we mention it). But legacy is an awesome earth fembot (not interested in all the Cybertronian girls)

I wouldn't even mind the missing articulation. The only things she'd definitely loose are the wrist swivels and the foot articulation. The waist could Still be there (better even). Her head might still look up (it's an engineering choice, not size related)

Only thing I don't do like you, is the non transforming motorcycle substitutes
