He looks like he has about 50+ panels. Good Lord! I thought Dark Night would be given the title of the most panels, but he's literally a rectangular box with lights and panels lol

Yeah, but Dark Knight's panels don't really have to do anything besides hang out so they can mostly stay in large pieces. Kaen's panels have to fold up, move, expand, and hide away in various modes. Raiden's entire abdomen area (front, back and sides) for example is a box that folds up to a size that fits mostly behind his head. Panels on his chest and back to fold out and make the hips skirts wider for combined mode and fill in the side of train mode between his chest/back and his legs. I think the side hip skirts for combined mode end up round the bottom edge of train mode as a "walk way".

So are you saying that Raiden is mostly made of panels? If so, that's a lot more panels one combiner can handle lol

I *think* I had that as my member title for just a little while. I'm certain I've used the term in an Astrotrain thread or two. :)

I don't know why you would think that.

Out of curiosity I looked up the term on the forum, and it found 5 total results. 3 in this thread since yesterday, and 2 in the the MFT Astrotrain thread (only actually used 3 times, 1 result in each thread didn't use the term, but quoted a post that did so the search found them).

I got my Dark Knight today. Unfortunately, the right hand "shattered" when I tried to attach the gun to his hand. Without glue it wasn't possible to stabilize the hand. Looks ok for display but the hand is a bit battered now and I'm very carefuly.

But beside of this it's a nice figure. I hope Ice Land and the other trainbots will have better hands...

I see you came along for the ride as well lol. Sorry about your misfortune. I'm quite surprised you don't have Ice Land in hand yet. Everything that everyone has had problems with, I haven't. Strange. Anyways, hope you have better luck with Ice Land. And I'm sure the other bots will be fine. Depending on how you look at it and what you make of it, Raiden (or any TF for that matter, combiner or not) can be either a curse or a blessing. Don't get me started with the DS figures. Have fun!

I felt the urge to share with this thread as I like you ‘lot.

I accepted a new job offer on Wednesday and had a fantastic day yesterday after putting my 2 weeks in.

I got rear ended and pushed into another car coming home from work today… funny, this universe of ours…

Can’t wait to get the next 2 trains…

so thankful I wasn’t in my Camaro

Finally managed to spend more time with my Trainbots. Overall, they're great. Highly recommending the set and damn, this Raiden is gonna be huge. I think I like MS-01 Dark Night even better than MS-02, tolerances are better and everything tabs very nicely and satisfactorily :)  even if MS-01's alt is a freakin BRICK :lol  lots of pics:

a word of caution tho, the locomotive connector ("railway coupling" or whatever it's called) sucks. It is too tight, shave or try to stretch the clip somehow before attaching it.

    Otherwise...

You may even bend the pin when trying to pull the damn clip out   Luckily I was able to straighten it back and reattach everything but it could be much worse :redface2:  definitely not touching that part ever again.

I'm glad you're ok my friend. And thank you for sharing with us. I'm with you though, I can't wait for the next 2 trains. WHOO WHOO!!

I do apologize for that. I think it's best to grip the front at the same time you're pulling the coupler out. I think you know where I'm getting at.. Otherwise, I would say "tread at your own risk" when dealing with that..

His wheels are a bit tight as well as the coupling but it works!! A few little tweaks and I reckon I can get them flying around the track. Will see how they go on the switch tracks later.
