But then it's not really Windblade. It's like having Optimus without his faceplate and ear-fins.

I liked the original Windblade toy's silver face but with red face paint marks a lot. Still, the Sarah Stone face was generally better than it. Her headdress is a little over the top I must admit but it is what it is.

Windblade would make a good shared mold with Lyzack. If they plan on doing JG1 that seems like a good angle to go with. We've been needing a G1 Windblade with ankle rockers and no balance issues for ages.

The robot scale on the combiners is way off on Devastator.

I'd buy it and use it for Gobot Dive Dive.

I dunno if you can count this as a "Price Hike" when the ER Ironhide has more mass than any regular retail deluxe, there's way more plastics and parts count in the roof/sled and gun than the OG Siege's Roofless barrow of a van mode & it's hammer/launcher
This @$$hole speculates Voyager+ sharing engineering from ER Snapdragon at Leader because of the extra mass of Space Chikken wings & Breast-Beasts!

And accounting the fact of the pretty big size difference, it shouldn't be too hard for them to make him a Commander class figure.

I started a reply to this, but it's turning into a megapost, so that'll have to come later.

I'm the opposite. I think Windblade should keep both, but with slight tweaking to round the edges off any residual Japanese cultural appropriation. And I think most Camien bots -- fem, male, and otherwise -- should have usually have facepaint and tattoos as Camien cultural signifiers to help them stand out a bit from Cybertron bots. Headdresses/ornate heads would be neat, but I'm wary of their potential to complicate transformation tolerances and throw-off visual head-body size ratios.

Same, as long as the Drift isn't based on AOE/TLK, anyway...

It'd be neat to see Drift share a mold with an Earth-mode/TFA style Blurr, like the old Generations figures. But I was pretty young back then, so I don't remember if people were a fan of that idea at the time of their release.

I could see it working with a heavily G1ified Animated Blurr (meaning more standard robot mode proportions), but that might make people mad lol. But if the shoulders were modified so the kibble folds down and points backwards, it'd be pretty close.

I'm still hoping Pointblank/Armada Blurr will be a good candidate for remolding into a Cybertronian-mode Drift, though. Again, all he'd really need (other than basic remolding) would be for the shoulder kibble to be reoriented.

I want that as well, but after cartoon Broadside. But the Carnage in C-Minor Commander Broadside, specifically. Then yours, then standard cartoon Commander Broadside. Also, @barry's Core class Narrowside. But I'd accept them in any order, honestly. I want all the Broadsides.

I still have thst Drift in my collection. It's a great figure. The only thing it really needs is ankle rockers and a waist swivel. Never did buy the Blurr version of the mold.

Hopefully never. I don't think Guidi's way of G1-ification of the newer characters was all thst great the way some apparently do. It's unimaginative at least just making them straight repaints of already existing characters. Especially when guys like Drift already have a design that works fine with G1. I get that Guidi was trying to mimic the first two years of G1 that were like that but even G1 stopped being so repaint/retool heavy by the third year.

Yeah, Drift's design works perfectly in G1:

The only things stopping me from using the Generations figure as him in my collection are my preoccupation with vehicle mode scale and his awful ankles.
