    Well played!

Ok, just posted a bit of post Legacy speculation in the spec thread. Thought it wouldn't hurt to chuck it in here also.

So, I'm working on a (potentially quite flawed) assumption that Legacy isn't the start of a new trilogy and doesn't set too many thematic precedents (so we're not going to see another line with 4 Deluxe class combiner limbs and a Commander or even Leader class torso, and I'm going to 'consign' the more conservative S1-3 G1 characters, like the other 2 Insecticons, to SS). We can start with a kind of sort of fresh plate.

The only bit to pick up from Legacy is the mix of continuities. We'll even go as far as to lampshade this and run with the currently worn to death 'multiverse' concept. Each wave will have a continuity theme (potentially mixing 2 continuities) and the gimmick will be moving between these universes. This will be done via the new gimmick former, the 'Fuzor' Multiverse portal 'bot. Just imagine the fun kids will have in making one toy move through the gap in another! Maybe in a subsequent line we'll get another organic portal 'bot and any BW character that travels through 2 organic portals becomes...a headma...sorry, a classic BW Fuzor. These will be similar to yer Weaponiser/Modulator/Fossiliser and provide the opportunity for troop building and creating bigger and more elaborate portals (Just imagine the fun kids will have in making one toy move through a really big gap)

Hopefully such a line would leave the door open to explore other continuities while we continue to explore some of the ones listed (still barely scratching the surface of UT. I've only missed off Hotshot as his name is too close to Sureshot. Maybe we'll even get Needlenose).

None of this will ever happen and if I'm right about anything it's more through luck than design (or that any correct speculation is aggressively obvious). For a start, I cannot see Hasbro going with a structure that encourages you to skip an entire wave if you happen to have no care for that universe. AND I've cheated badly in my interpretation of the implicit 'must have Optimus/Megatron/Starscream' rule. None the less, it's been a fun thought experiment.

    Wave 1 (G1/TFA theme)
C: Emerite Xaaron, Rung, TFA Prowl
D: Sureshot, Nightbeat (Elita-1 partial), Pharma, Fuzor Multiverse Portal former-1 (metallic)
V: TFA Sentinel, Tyrest (Jhiaxus partial)
    L: Straxus, Laser Optimus (PR)

    Wave 2 (BW theme)
C: Snaptrap (Igaunus partial), Razorbeast (Rattrap partial)
D: Tarantulas (PR), BW Silverbolt, Clawjaw, Fuzor Multiverse Portal former-2 (organic)
    V: Polarclaw
    L: Transquito

Wave 3 (UT/JG1 theme - very Haslab Starsaber adjacent)
C: Browning (Megatron repaint), Sideways (TFA Prowl partial)
D: UT Cyclonus, Demolisher, UT Red Alert (Skids partial), Metalhawk (based on the animation model of the 'inner' bot)
    V: Armada Starscream (PR),
    L: Deathsaurus (Dragon Megs partial)
Cm: Road Caeser (naturally featuring the 3 Brainmaster cars)
T: Croaton (Turns into the Nemesis, to go with yer Kingdom Ark, and comes with a Cyberverse continuity Tarn figure that forms Croaton's cannon.

    Wave 4 (TFP/G1 PR theme)
    C: Shockwave (PR), Skullgrin (PR)
D: TFP Smokescreen, TFP Windblade, Strongarm, Pointblank (PR)
    V: TFP Breakdown, TFP Megatron

My favourite chippy sells washing powder and dogey ciggies still!

Alas, we never had a master system converter. Or a master system, but use to play it at a mates and loved it.

TV tuner was handy for sneaky watching of TV after bedtime :p

Drained them, harvested more from my sister and I's Xmas toys... its when he started peeling them out of the remote control my dad new sh8t was serious

I first experienced sonic and Castle of illusion on the GG, and definitely was shocked at the differences when I played them on the mega drive. Castle of illusion was an all time classic.

This conversation is making me want that mega drive megatron again!!

    You are the devil brendan.

That would work for me! :)

I'm quite sure I don't know what you're talking about. At all. This. Is. Ulster!

    ...

Christ, part of me really hopes there are delays across the toylines I collect. In their wisdom Hasbro have Lift Ticket, Percy, Coronation Screamer and Blaster due this month (allegedly) alone.

Hasbro replied this morning- so your 4 day prediction was spot on.

They "have launched an investigation" and have asked for my patience. That's not in any way reassuring!

I'm not worried, because I've actually been going off the BW characters*. I'm not ordering any more over existing preorders. And to be honest if Terrorsaur maintained eBay value he was being sold.

*Not a dig at Beast Wars. It is the one contuity I have zero attachment or nostalgia for as it occurred during that 16-20 ish year old period where I was not a nerd lol. And also- all earth animal Transformers, regardless of line/contuity, are a bit boring to transform.

For those that have Coronation Starscream on order, is it really about the throne and nothing else? I think the paint job is suppose to be more premium and the hands are articulated.

However, someone has posted in another thread that Corrie SS has Jeremy Beadle hands compared to ER SS. As a result of this, apparently Corrie SS cannot hold the Megs gun from the Drone set. I cannot recall if there were any other issues/complaints made in the comparison but given the price of this set, are we really only paying the higher price for the throne, paint apps and partially articulated Jezza hands?

Minor gripe but decided to get myself Gen Selects G2 Megs and a copy of the ER Prime mold, Hamleys is promoting the Kingdom Prime for £44 + 10% off further making him the same cost as a Takara Netflix ER Prime on Kapow. Ordered Megs from Kapow and Prime from Hamleys. Hamleys replies cancelling the order saying they have no stock to fulfill. Ordered on Friday last week as as of this afternoon, they're still listing Prime as being available on their site. Switched over to Kapow to get the TT Netflix Prime but now also just had Tigatron ship so i've ended up paying shipping on three items in one week when the Prime and Megs could've been combined had Hamleys not been falsely advertising their Prime as being in stock.

With Perceptor and Tigatron coming in stock/shipping that's leaving me with only four TF's to look forward to the rest of the year. Although given i've supposed to have retired from collecting that's probably a good thing.

I've also had my delivery from a land down under today. Only Fangry out of the pack so far and floppy limbs aside he is glorious - especially the beast head which I think does a good job of capturing how he looked when Andy Wildman drew him.

I was going to move Primal and Black Arachnia on PDQ, but they may yet grow on me.

Does anyone know what the little yellow plastic 'ball' (it's not a ball, but I have no idea what shape it is!) is supposed to be?

All told that throne is doing a lot of heavy lifting, but it's combined with brains going 'Ha, that scene was great!' and a lot of people missed out on the ER release of Screamer I reckon. Going by the speed it's restock sold out. That's all my best guess anyway!

Perhaps and yeah I can see that.

I’m also looking at it as having spare parts for Earthrise Skywarp or Thundercracker. They were not the easiest set to get.

Well I'm NOT getting Pipes, or anything else for that matter for a while. I got the notification from ID Toys that the Earthrise villains were back in stock so... boom.
I don't usually spend much on my TFs, Rodimus was the last big hoorah, but I've seen the prices these two go for on evil bay and FB - so TC and SW are on their way!
I am definitely an old news person (did you know the cake is a lie?) but I love it when I grab onto a bargain. (Bargain? Is it a bargain? Starscream's lowest price was c. £24... maybe?)

I'm willing to bet they turn up for £40 on BargainMax now.

Good GOD the FOMO is real...
