Why are the tail fins painted on your copy? I thought this version deleted the paint?

 

It is, I swapped the earthrise parts and the coronation parts into this,

that’s why I called it “earthrised”   it honestly works. This one has the coronation wings because the paint is better on those, the arms, can’t get the head but I think the original is better, I just felt like the original body has better paint no offense to the coronation one, it has paint as well but the earthrise has a gloss

Edit: you can also swap the head, by swapping the front jet nose

 

I won't lie. I had to wait 20 years for IMDb to exist before I finally could learn what galvatron was saying when he stepped on his crown. Before that it just sounded like "Does anyone else want to fissure his minions?"

 

When Unicron was saying "You cannot destroy my destiny" before he blew up/as he was blowing up, I thought he was saying "Just a minute" for the longest time.

Picked up Slug at the weekend and got him out of his cardboard prison last night

He's a lot of fun! More fun than I expected him to be for sure. I don't think he's quite as good as Grimlock, but he is a good, chunky, fun toy. The Triceratops mode looks less potato-shaped in person than it does in photos, and is probably my preferred of the two modes. Robot mode is also better than anticipated, but I do worry about his knees. They're a little wobbly on my copy, like there's a little too much room between the teeth on the ratchet joints

I don't think I'll be going all in on the Dinobots, but I'm glad I picked this guy up for sure. Helps that he was slightly discounted too




Daniel can get in the bin though. Somehow worse than Wheelie, which is saying something

 

I love the scale of the SS Dinobots.

 

I knew Hot Rod should've never teamed up with Goku

 

They said Starscream's joints and parts were tightened on the SS86, they're not kidding. He's uncomfortably tight to transform the first time. Yikes.

He does not hold the Megatron pistol from the Centurion pack that well. He needs a perfectly round 5mm peg to hold in those hands. The pistol has a 5mm tab, but it's not round. You can kind of kludge it in there but he doesn't hold it well at al

Part of me wants to swap the arms and give him his original hands back. Starscream holding that pistol is awesome.



First pic is Earthrise, second is SS86. Also, they shifted his hands down. The hump that holds the pin/hinge for his hands is in the same location on both figures, and the rounded cut out on the Megatron pistol rests perfectly on the hinge in Earthrise hands, doesn't fit hardly at all in SS86 hands because they're pushed down a mm or so.

Odd. And his hands are overall smaller.



And for the main reason we bought the throne...

A seat for Megatron.
