Great episode, but it wasn't Book of Boba Fett, it was just an extra episode of The Mandalorian.

Fett wasn't even in this episode!

Are they actively trying to not move the plot of the main storyline forward? I've had my suspicions all season, but we're 5/7 of the way through the season.

 

There's only 7 episodes of this season?
Geez, Mando, Fett, and Fennec have a lot of ground to cover.

 

This really didn't need to be a series. It would have worked better as a single movie. Because they really only have enough plot for a 2.5 hour movie.

 

Loved today's episode. But I totally didn't see that coming.

 

I’m over here laughing that the single best episode of BoBF is an episode of the Mandalorian. If they open season 3 of Mando by just replaying this episode I’d be fine. We caught up with Din, got the set up for season 3, and got his new ship.

Also Bryce Dallas Howard is more than ready to be given her own Star Wars movie to direct.

Was Din asking for some redemption after he admitted to the Armorer that he removed his helmet?

 

Yes. The Armorer basically gave Din his path for Season 3. He has basically two tasks to manage.

I wonder if Din meets up with Grogu again that he wants to give up being a Jedi and wants to stay with Din.

I'm fine with it. I loved all the world building with the Tuskens. It fixed pretty much everything that was wrong with their previous depictions.

 

I can't tell if I loved this episode or hated it.

Loved it because it was really well done, characters were engaging, action was perfect, it was the best done episode of the series so far. Agreed Bryce Dallas Howard should be a full time star wars director, she has done awesome episodes from what I can remember.

But do I hate it because it was a completely different show? Boba wasn't even in it. And while that may be fine for long running shows like Doctor Who to have the main character missing from all but the very start and end to bookmark an episode, in something like this, it not only feels wasted given the short run time, but if you haven't watched the mandalorean, but only watch this show because you only care about boba, then you would be completely lost.

But I did smile when I saw the N1. And I do love the new hot rodded style of it. Looking forward to seeing more of that ship. Personally, I think I would have preferred if this episode was just Mando helping Fett and Mando S3 opened with today's episode.

I'm so conflicted.

 

Everything they've done could have been handled just as easily in a movie.

 

I am glad they filled in the gap with Bo Katan from Rebels to The Mandalorian.

It was exactly as we guessed.
