I wasn’t going to order, but it offered free ship-to-store shipping. I caved. I even had $1 off in Walgreens rewards.
Wow. Kingdom red alert is still available for shipping at Walgreens 14 hours after it first went up. I bought mine around 6:50pm est and I already got a shipping confirmation this morning from Walgreens.
I would still prefer to buy in store, but if Walgreens is going to make it this easy to buy online I guess I can’t complain. Especially with the free ship-to-store option.
That's why I love getting transformers from Walgreens. With rewards points, I once got Siege Ratchet for $5.
Apparently the first time they had them in stock on the website, when people ordered them they'd just receive a random Kingdom Deluxe figure because they had the same assortment #, but IIRC it came back in stock an earlier time before this and people actually received the correct figures that time.
My kingdom red alert was just shipped to my house this morning. Usually when walgreens has ship to house from their warehouses, the item bought will be correct. With pickup in store and action figures, that is hit or miss. I did ship to my house for all the other Walgreen exclusives in the past and got the correct figures and I am expecting the same with Kingdom Red Alert.
I'm assuming that the pickup in store you're referring to is when the website says a store already has it in stock and then when it is picked up, it ends up being the wrong item? Or does the mixup also happen with the ship to store option as well?
I still stand by the fact that this figure will be widely available. The fact that it's STILL available on the website shows that the problem isn't that he wasn't available but everything is still so clogged up in ports and I'm sure Walgreens have their toys as a lower priority than the rest of the stuff they get. But it's in warehouse for shipping and I'm certain within the month or two that they'll be flooding stores. Never a need to panic as Walgreens exclusives have always been available pretty freely either in store or online.
ship to store is shipping from Walgreens warehouse to a Walgreens retail store. Since product is coming from the actual Walgreens warehouse, you should be good. Mixup is when you do pickup in store since it shows product is currently available in store - usually if it’s a toy like transformers or marvel legends it is 50/50 on if it’s correct one or just a random figure in the assortment.
I remember at least 1-2 people getting one from that super small early small amount of stock and got Red. So they HAD some before, but not a lot.
