Started the ink washing process on my BMB OP! This is always a lot of fun but man it's gonna take a while. 1.5hrs of work and I only got the weapons done and one leg haha!

Clunker Bee’s been on desk duty after transforming him for that Bee group shot I got a little bit ago. I really like this figure!

It actually is the stock one! I’ve just done some paint work with it.

I don’t think it’s a terrible sculpt, but there’s definitely some things that bother me about it - the piece around the mouth area is way too big, and the antennae are too small and don’t really stick out. Hoping the face sculpt on a future SS Bee (maybe DOTM) is reused from WWII Bee, that one gets the face proportions down excellently (They would have to remold the helmet part though, since WWII Bee has a different design for that section)

Now that head sculpt is just *chef’s kiss*

Terrible movie, but it has been proven by these two examples from two different companies that seemingly impossible-to-translate-into-toys designs are in fact very possible!



If only their truck modes were also in scale to each other, but that's ok for me since they will certainly be in bot mode for my display.

One Million and One Uses for Soundwave

Bringing the name Soundwave to the next level.

 

Got myself a little Shocky yesterday.

 

So I got in touch with Pulse about returning ROTF Sideswipe, and since they don't offer money returns, I had to settle for another figure as a replacement. They offered me Blurr or Gnaw, and obviously I rejected as I don't collect obscure G1 characters. I asked them if it was possible to get the new Buzzworthy B-127 release, as he is the exact same price as Sideswipe. But they said they had none of him in stock (even though it shows he is available on the website). So instead, to be fair to them, they've sent me 2 figures (I have no idea who they are) as a replacement. I just hope they're ones I'll like!

EDIT: Okay, so I somehow missed the link at the bottom of the email. And it turns out they're sending me the High Octane Bee vs Stinger 2-pack, which is disappointing as I already have both figures already. Not sure whether to sell it on or just to send it back and complain even more at this point.
