I received mine yesterday and it's absolutely awesome! The only issue that came with mine were the shoulders and that's about it. I'm not going to mess with him until I get the replacement but this guy is awesome. He looks good and feels good

Damn, it actually looks pretty awesome after the ink wash. Okay I'm going to buy this BS03 now, although I still have my doubts after seeing all the QC issues.

 

Pitney Bowes has mine now and surprise, surprise it hasn't moved in 2 days. I'd forgotten why I was starting to use ShowZ less. I remember now, it was because despite assuring me they wouldn't use Pitney Bowes an awful lot of stuff coming from them ends up coming through Pitney Bowes and just sitting for a while. (in fairness i have now experienced a few run ins with Pitney Bowes where things actually were delivered in a timely manner). So one of these months I may get mine...

 

Showz has little to no control what ends up in their hands nowadays. Pitney Bowes simply controls a massive amount of packaging coming into the country that technically should be meant for usps.

 

Thanks. I know it. But it's still incredibly frustrating. The only silver lining is that Pitney Bowles isn't generally as bad as they were initially. So I've gone from knowing I won't have it for another 2-4 weeks, to wondering if maybe I will get it this week or at least next week.

Theoretically not ShowZ's fault, although they do still seem to get hit with them more than other overseas orders I place.

 

My figure has luckily yet to break, but should I also put in the Show Z after sales tab request? I'd rather order the part now, but it seems to be only for already-occured damages, and it asks for a photo.

 

With Chinese New Year coming, Showz isn’t processing any new requests, so anything for parts will have to wait.

Your eyes are sharp! I actually use a mix of black and blue with a bit of brown as well. Gives it a subtle real-world grime feel to it as opposed to flat black.

New head is perfect! Very nice. And it can still transform? I'm a bit worried about the ears.

VinhLee that’s absolutely positively perfection!! Wow! That changes the entire look and makes him look like the CGI walked off the screen and into plastic form! I sure hope everything fits well for transformation. This will be the kit to get!! Wow… I’m going to be Ooogling these images off an on all day while at work. This is exciting!! With the shoulder replacements to come and this, phew!! We’re going to have the best MPM style Knight Primes!! Way ta go!
Are you planning to do a painted pic sometime when the final product is ready?

I’m not aware of previous works so forgive my questions if you’ve heard them already..
So do we get the unpainted kit? If so do you recommend cleaning and primer before painting? I’m assuming clear coat after. What clear coat do you recommend that won’t dull the silver paint? How sturdy is the material? Is it like ABS plastic? So it demands pin work to attach. How strong are the pin joints? Any stress marks so far?

You fired off a lot of questions so I’ll try to answer some of them myself since I have several pieces from Vinh:

He sells painted and unpainted. I’ve never used primer on mine but I guess it’s never a bad idea. A couple coats of silver then detailing should be fine for this tho. I prefer to paint my own but his painted pieces are very well done.

The material is very good for 3D printed but definitely not as sturdy as a regular plastic cast piece. For this one I’d be careful with the ears for sure. It will be hard for him to tell how the pins will be and YMMV since the tolerances are so precise and he is only just making these for the first time. On my challenger torso the pins came out and went into the new piece with very little resistance.
